This Technical Rider is the result of an accurate, dedicated, serious team work and aims to provide the venues the most precise information in order to achieve a comfortable and easy work athmosphere. Technic in ‘macbEth’ is relatively simple, but there are many little details we consider make the difference between a ‘good show’ and a ‘great show’, what is in fact what we all want to reach. No demand is arbitrary or product of caprice; though, there might be specific solutions not contemplated on this rider that can be discussed. So, we appreciate your collaboration and kindly encourage you to contact the technical manager or the company manager if you have any doubt or concern. No matter what, we will work it out. ‘macbEth’ is NOT an opera.

It is a theatre show based on Verdi’s opera ‘Macbeth’. Sound amplification it is not only a technical need, but a conceptual must. Some passages are ‘over-amplified’ or ‘sound-treated’ on purpose to reinforce the dramaturgic and some pre-recorded sequences are played during the performance.

Therefore, the following sound equipment is required:

The text is fragmented. This should be replicated in translation. 8.DRESSING ROOMS ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: - 1 4 female cast

- 1 Stage and Technical Management (with internet WIFI connection)

- 1 Conductor

All rooms must be well lit with burned out lamps replaced, hot and cold running water, toilet and shower facilities (separate from those used by the General Public)

All Dressing Rooms are to be cleaned prior to the arrival of the Company and maintained for each performance.

All Dressing Rooms must have working locks on the doors & the keys made available to the Company Manager & the Technical Manager during the company’s entire stay in the venue.

A working show relay and call system must be installed in each dressing room.

Bottled water or water coolers must be available back stage at all times. From Load in to Get out.

9.WARDROBE & MAKE-UP :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

WARDROBE & LAUNDRY

Wardrobe Maintenance service is required during the company’s stay at the venue. Depending the number of performances this requirements may vary and will be specified to each venue.

The following equipment will be needed:

MAKE-UP

Make-up service is required for LADY MACBETH.

The following material will be needed:

10.WARM-UP ROOM ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: A warm-up room will be provided by the venue, allocated in the same theatre building, equipped with a tuned piano or amplified keyboard and suitable for voice and body warm-up, at least 3 hours prior on-stage rehearsals and shows.

11.SCHEDULES & CREW ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Schedule is based on a 2½-day set-up with at least 1 on-stage rehearsal (either a technical rehearsal or a FDR) in the evening on the 2nd set-up day.

Nevertheless, a specific schedule will be arranged with each venue, regarding particular circumstances (when performing with a local orchestra set-up may start earlier to allow more on-stage rehearsals, for instance).
