WELCOME TO OUR NEWEST DIRECTOR

We have a new Professional Development Director, Jennifer Privett. Jennifer joins us from Cassville Missouri Municipal Court. Jennifer was interested in participating in the

development of the organization and being a part of the educational offerings of MACA. Jennifer does

have a great support system from the Education Committee in assisting the formation of the 2014 Annual

Conference. Please share with them your thoughts and hopes for the Conference as we try to tailor it to

the majority of the members. If you would like to contact Jennifer please see her contact information

under Executive Board on Macaonline.net. Thanks again, Jennifer, for stepping up and assisting the Board

in developing the educational offerings.

COURT OPERATING RULE 4.53

Submitted to the courts was a Memorandum from Tina Jones at OSCA notifying us of the changes to COR 4.53. Pre-numbered receipts will be required for all automated courts.

4.53.1 - Item seven (7) was added that states a court’s name shall be included on the pre-numbered receipts.

4.53.2 - States that courts who use JIS or another approved local automated system will only issue manual receipts when the automated system is unavailable or as by order of the presiding judge. If the presiding judge issues an order, the order shall be provided to OSCA quarterly, which will be forwarded to the State Judicial Records Committee.

SNEAK PEEK AT 2014 CONFERENCE

Networking is a Key Benefit from Being a Member of MACA.

As president of the organization I am developing some new opportuni-ties for members of MACA and experienced to meet and connect.
