Lens-less system with MAX Technology

Like all M-Series lampheads, the M90 is

equipped with MAX Technology, a unique,

patentedreflectortechnologythatunifiesthe

advantages of a Fresnel and a PAR fixture.

Theunitisopenfaceandthusverybright;in

factthelightoutputproducedwitha9,000W

lampcomesclose to theoutput froma12K

PAR fixture with lens. The unit is focusable

from16°upto49° justbyturningthefocus

knob,producingaremarkablyevenlightfield

andacrisp,clearshadow.Theeliminationof

spreadlensesspeedsuptheworkflowonset.

New Power Class

To close the gap between the M40 and the

ARRIMAX18/12, theM90 introducesanew

powerclassof9,000W,whichsitsalmostexactlyinthemiddlebetweenthetwo.Anew

9,000WlamphasbeendevelopedbyOsramaccordingtoARRI’sspecification,verysimilar

insizetothe6,000Wlamp,whichmakestheMAXTechnologyreflectorfunctionperfectlyat

bothwattages.Thelampisstableat1000Hzandallowsforhighspeedfilmingwiththenew

ARRIhighspeedballastEB6/9kWwith1000Hz.

Small and Lightweight

The new 9,000 W lamp and ARRI’s superior housing and cooling concept have made a

very compact design close to the dimensions of the ARRISUN 60 possible. Since the

accompanying EB 6/9 kW ballast uses the housing of the current EB 6000 Baby, and

6Khead-to-ballastcablesarecompatible,thewholesystemishighlyefficientanddelivers

alightoutputclosetoatraditional12KPARwithalenswithinthedimensionsofa6KPAR

system–itpunchesaboveitsweight!

Compensation of Cable Loss (CCL)

The new EB 6/9 kW is equipped with a CCL module. When operated with the new

ARRIEB6/9kWwithCCL,fullpowerismaintainedallthewaytothelampevenwhenvery

longcablesareused.Thismeansuniformlyhighlightoutputindependentfromcablelength.
