Lessons Learned

• Check Shakemap first • Cross reference Shakemap with map of known stations in

affected area • Deploy to Pods around stations with motions that

– (1) exceed PGA, PGV thresholds as shown on strongmotioncenter.org – (2) likely will exceed PGA, PGV thresholds based on Shakemaps

• Add retrofit column to short form (RURM) • Add vacant “Y” or “N” column • Nonstructural vs. building content damage • Train more EPEP volunteers! • Keep roster contact information current • Develop & strengthen ties with other organizations (EERI,

ATC, PEER, etc.)
