The Mount Gambier Harness Racing Club has a long tradition of success, with racing at the Mount Gambier Showgrounds for more than 60 years.

> ThisfirstracemeetingheldatthecurrentvenuewasconductedinJanuary1949andwonby“Cliff’sBrother”,locallyownedandtrainedbyMrWJMawsonofBenara,andfromthistimeonthesportandclubhascontinuedtoprosper,updatingfacilitiestoaccommodatenewinitiativessuchaslightingandnightracing.

> Todaywecontinuetoinnovateandinthe2014/15seasonwehave13scheduledTABracemeetings.Overthelastfiveyearsprizemoneyonofferhasamountedtoover$800,000.
