PROJECT MANAGER (M/F) / 1 person until the end of the project duration Reinforcement of Foster Care Law-Advocacy and Good Governance towards Child rights for Children in Alternative care in Bosnia and Herzegovina SOS Children's Villages Bosnia and Herzegovina will provide Care professionals working with children and young people in alternative care (a wide range of care professionals such as social workers, youth workers, educators, child psychologists and child therapists), appropriate training, and to have the means to instill effective and meaningful change for children and young people in care and to empower them to participate in processes that impact their lives. Project Manager ensures clear and measurable goals for project stages and in line with both grant agreement provisions and the initiatives of the international and national strategic SOS annual plan for the location. She/he leads the project team with support from the SOS BIH National Office staff and Management for the overall programmatic and fiscal management of the project. She/he reports to the National Programme Development Director (NPDD) and the assigned Children’s Village Programme Director in the country. The National Public Funding Adviser will provide support of the project team in quality implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting, ensuring compliance with donor guidelines; and National Programme Development Director, support project team programmatic leadership, networking and partner relationship management and the entire SOS-BIH portfolio. General tasks of the Project Manager: 1. Responsible for overall direction and management of the project. 2. Coordinates and monitors the project on a day-to-day basis. 3. Ensures that the project is implemented in-line with project documentation (i.e. grant agreement, project schedule, project budget, etc.). 4. Ensures the effective management of all people and resources involved in the project. 5. Responsible for the project producing a result that is capable of achieving the benefits defined in the project. 6. Manages project team, controlling the quality of the work performed by the project team and ensuring smooth communication between all project team members. communication between all project team members. Preparing progress and final reports to SOS Czech Republic and for the donor (in accordance with donor requirements) and if needed, for SOS Children’s Villages International (in accordance with SOS CV internal standards).

7. Lead the implementation of advocacy, and coordination with national partner’s e.g. National Steering group, Care professionals training expert from SOS Serbia.

8. Ensures quality handbook and training materials development and other visibility measures.9. Ensures that the costs directly chargeable to the project are in compliance with the conditions defined in the grant

agreement10. Communicates with all project stakeholders, internal and external. 11. A contact point for the project stakeholders’ and partners in the country.

Qualifications and Competences:Besides legal obligations, candidate is expected to fulfill general requirements:

A university degree in one of the following fields: social work, psychology, sociology, education or another relevant technical field;

A minimum of five years of professional experience in programme planning, management, and/or research;

Training organization and provision experience; PCM experience; High communication skills; Reporting skills; Fluency in local language and proficiency in English; Computer literacy; Driver’s license/active driver; Experience in participating in monitoring processes and monitoring tools development; Takes initiative, motivates and empowers others.
