Course Introduction: The course is about the microprocessor & micro controllers and its
peripheral components. Microprocessor 8086 & micro controllers PIC 16F877 are being used for
experiment purpose. LEDs, switches, & segment displays, key pad etc are being used with the both
of them .
Course Objectives: The core objective of this subject is to make the student understand about the
hardware and software of the microprocessor & micro controllers and its related components. He
will understand the design issues of the microprocessor & micro controller based systems.
Learning Outcomes: After completion the student will be able to design his own microprocessor
& micro controller based system. He will be able to understand how to program and utilize it for
different control applications.
