Mr. & Mrs. Ben Robinson Holly Gwartney and Ben Robinson
were married on June 27,1998, at St. Lawrence Church.with Father Rabe officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Dennis Gwartney, Easton and Sherry Schmidling of Atchison. She graduated from Pleasant Ridge High School and is presently employed at the Armed Forces Insurance group as a customer service representative.
The groom is the son of Michael and Marcia Robinson of Topeka. He graduated from Pleasant Ridge High School and is employed by Ernzen Dairy.
The music was provided by Kathy Rolen, Ron Jaster, and Karen Logan. Jill Gwartney served as the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Amy

both of Maryville, Mo., exchanged wedding vows before 500 guests at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Falls City, Nebraska, May 16, 1998. Offi dating at.-the 5:30 p.m. ceremony was Father Robert Roh.
Parents of the couple are David and Martha Wolfe and Michael and Lorna Simon, all of Falls City. Grandparents of the bride were Don and Ruth Ann Wolfe and Kathleen Lutz, Atchison, Kansas, and Edith Stevens, Falls City.
Those providing music were Fred and Pam Sikora, Katie Simon and Scott Dugdale, off of Falls City.
The bride appeared in a white gown with a beaded bodice featuring a V-neck with scoop back. The chiffon outer layer over the A-line skirt formed a short train. A beaded bun wrap held the fingertip veil in place. She carried a cascading bouquet of white lilies, stephanotis, freesia, jasmine, English ivy and white sweetheart roses with satin streamers. She was escorted down the aisle by her parents.
Stefanie Grewe, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Julie Kiekhaefer, Pender, Nebraska, Anne Simon, Kansas City, Holly Rieschick, Falls City and Susan Findlay, Stella, Nebraska. They all wore floor-length navy sheath gowns
with scooped backs trimmed in navy satinithey each carried bouquets similar to the bride's.'
Attending his brother as best man was Jacob Simon, Omaha, Nebraska. Groomsmen were Adam Frocachl, Overland Park, Kansas, Kent Knobble, Falls City, Jason McNeely, Lincoln, Nebraska, and Bart Keller, Falls City, Nebraska. Matt Grewe, Falls City, Erik McNeely, Kansas City, Mat Knobbe, Lincoln, Nebraska, and Chad Deahle, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, were ushers.
All men in the party wore black tuxedoes with vests and white rose boutonnieres.
Molly Meyer, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, attended the guest book and Tiffany Keithley and Barb Werner, both of Falls City, were personal attendants. Adrienne Werner and Lisa Symonds gave out programs. Host couples were Dv. Terry and Mary Symonds, Falls City, and Dr. Robert and Jane Hagan, Wichita, Kansas.
A dinner and dance was held at the Falls City Country Club following the ceremony. The three-tier wedding cake featured a fountain and was decorated with fresh flowers and white lilacs.

The bride is the daughter of Larry and Lois Sampson of Manhattan. The groom is the son of Ron and Karen Dodge of Denton, Kansas.

A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents and held at the Theta Xi Fraternity house.
The bride is a graduate of Kansas State University where she received a bachelor's degree in secondary education.
The groOm is a graduate of Kansas State University where he received his bachelor's degree in agriculture economics with a minor in agronomy. He is employed with American Cyana-mid.

Also in attendance was Vance's sister Mary and Bill Morrison, Osborn, Mo., who celebrated their 39th Wedding anniversary on September 6,1998. Louis (Roy) and Mildred Survitts of Monrovia will celebrate their 51st Wedding Anniversary. They were married September 30,1947, at Atchison Courthouse, by Olive Dlomman, judge.
They are the parents-of seven-children! She is the former Mildred Evans. Mr. Survitt retired from Lucky Stores Inc. He worked for Lucky's for 20 years in Redondo Beach, California. He also worked" for Atchison Underground for two years. A family dinner is planned.

Kimberly Schneider and Frank Burnam, both of Lawrence, Kansas, were united in marriage Saturday, August 15, 1998, at 2 p.m. at the St. Benedict Church in Atchison, Kansas. The traditional Catholic double-ring ceremony was officiated by Father Gerald Senecal.
Parents of the bride are Joseph and Norma Schneider of Atchison, Kansas. Grandparents of the bride are; Joanne and Joe Durkin of Atchison,, Parents of the groom are Lori and Pat: Quinly of Macon, Mo. and Larry and. Nancy Burnam of Columbia. Grandparents of the groom are Kenneth and June Burnam of Macon, and Ed and Roni Nelson of Milan.
The bride, escorted down the aisle by her father, wore an elegant floor length backless dress featuring a pearl and sequined bodice and train. She, accented her dress with a diamond white veil lined, with pearls. She carried a bouquet of lilac, cream and green silk flowers, which she designed herself ' ' '
The maid of honor was Suzi McKenney of Atchison, Kansas. The bridesmaids were Krista Gehring of Boulder, Colorado, Denise Hall,: Lawrence, Kansas, and Heather Reed of Lawrence, Kansas, all friends of the bride, and Barbara Gravel of Wichita, Kansas, sister of the bride. All ladies in the bride's party wore black floor-length gowns.
Kaleih Gravel of Wichita, niece of the bride, was the flower girl.
The groom wore a black classic tuxedo with a black and gold vest. He wore a single cream rose boutonniere.
The best man was Ben Mahloch of St. Joseph, friend of the groom. The groom's men were Matt Pritchard of Lawrence, Kansas, and Marc Asplund of Lawrence Kansas, both friends of the groom, and Nate Burnam of Linn, Mo., and Nick Burnam, Columbia, Mo, brothers of the groom. All of the men in the groom's party wore black classic tuxedos with gold and black
vests. Joe Sumpter of Downs, Kansas,
cousin of the bride, served as ring bearers. Joe wore a black tuxedo with a gold and black vest.
Ushers for the ceremony were Susi Sumpter of Downs, Kansas, aunt and Godparent of the bride and Phil Schneider of St. Louis, Mo., uncle and Godparent of the bride.
The guest book attendant was Kim Quinly of Macon, sister of the groom.
A reception for the newly weds was held at the American Legion in Atchison, Kansas. The room was decorated with cream colored balloons, accented with gold decorations.
The couple, family and guests enjoyed aJ four-tiered, cream colored wedding cake, featuring cream colored ribbon and lined with gold beading. Each tier of.the cake was.topped with silk flowers. Kimberly is a graduate of the Academy of Mt. St.Scholastica. She attended Washburn University where she obtained her social worker's degree. She is presently employed by Child Protective Services in Oskaloosa, Kansas.
Frank is a graduate of Hickman High School. He is presently a senior at Kansas University, majoring in architecture.
After a honeymoon in Key West, Florida, the couple is now making their home in Lawrence, Kansas.

The bride is the daughter of Harold Basey of Blue Springs, Missouri, and the late Esther Basey. The groom is the sdn of Virgil Hobbs of Winchester, Kansas, and the late Doran Hobbs.
Cathy Williams was the matron of honor. Darrin Hobbs (son of the groom) was best man. Judy Kleins was bridesmaid and her husband, Joe was groomsmen. Jessica Hobbs was flower girl and Dakota Massey was ringbearer; both are grandchildren of the groom. Candlelighters were Tim Williams and Carrie Keirns. They wore navy floor length crepe gowns accented by large pearls around the neckline and empire waistline. They carried stems of stargazer lilies tied loosely with white sheer ribbon.
