7 STEPS TO BECOME ANINTERNATIONAL STUDENT AT

LITHUANIAN MARITIME ACADEMY

High school/ Secondary education (or higher).Grades in Mathematics, English and/or Russian language.Language requirements: English and/or Russian.Language proficiency – the level not lower than B1 (following the Common Framework of Referencefor Language approved by the Council of Europe).

ENTRY QUALIFICATION:

The Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education is responsible for recognition of foreignqualifications givingaccess to higher education and higher education qualifications for the purposes of further study and/or employmentin Lithuania. Applications are submitted online at https://epe.skvc.lt/.

SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT AND DIPLOMA EVALUATION IN LIHUANIANCENTRE FOR QUALITY ASSESSMENT IN HIGHER EDUCATION

All documents have to be in English; if not, official translations along with the verified copies of the documents are to beprovided.Undergraduate students: secondary or higher education diploma.Certificate of your school transcript and Diploma evaluation in Lithuania.Copy of your passport or ID card.A bank transfer confirmation of Aplication Fee of 80 EUR addressed to Lithuanian Maritime Academy (non-refundable).

APPLICATION DOCUMENTS:

Application deadline – 15 th August. Beginning of studies f4 th October, 2021.To finish the application it is obligatory to pay first year tuition fee addressed to Lithuanian Maritime Academy. After receiving confirmation on the paid tuition fee, LMA will sign the study agreement and International studiesconsultants will send the mediation documents necessary for visa application.

APPLICATION DEADLINES:

VISA

International students are advised to arrive one week before beginning of studies in order to participate in IntroductoryEvents.Before arrival all international students shall inform the International Studies Consultant by e-mail [email protected] aboutarrival date, time and place.Upon arrival all international students shall present oneself at the Study department; Room No. 207, I.Kanto str. 7, Klaipeda.In case of failure to arrive until the above-referred time limit, all the documents issued by the LMA to obtain a permission fortemporary residence in the Republic of Lithuania and to get a multiple visa D shall lose their effect.Admitted students shall be responsible and take care of all travel documents on their own: passport, insurance andtraveling expenses which are excluded from the Tuition Fee.Students from countries with visa requirements should be aware of the time required to obtain a visa. Information can beobtained from Lithuanian Consular Offices.

REGISTER TO STUDIES:

Living conditions: LMA dormitory, Karklu str.2, Klaipeda.The price of dormitory per 1 month: one room for one student – 120 EUR; one room for two students – 75 EUR per each (theprice is revised every year).The location of dormitory is close to LMA, in the centre of city.Dormitory building has 12 floors. Each of the 12 dormitories floors has 6 blocks (12 rooms,) and a kitchen. In one block thereare 2 rooms – double and triple, each room equipped with furniture and refrigerator .Each block has a separate shower and aWC unit.
