The Flying Dragon Arts Center has taken that to a new level by putting together shows that feature children, teens and young adults. This month the South Georgia Children's Theater, a branch of the Flying Dragon, is performing the well-renowned show "The Wiz." Johnson as the crow/gatekeeper, Amara Grace Jeffords as the gatekeeper, Trevon Parker as a crow, Kennedy Brice as Little Dorothy, Josh Hodkinson as Little Scarecrow, Tassie Jeffords as Little Tin Girl, Lily Varnes as Little Lion, and Carly Valerio as a mouse. The munchkins are played by Ally Ard, Gage Crews, Patience Crews, Shelby Foster, '---------------- ..... Aidan Jeffords, Marin Jeffords, Blake Kildow, Kayti Jeffords, Danecia Allen and Elisse Parker sing and dance their way to the Emerald City. Kiara Thigpen, Molly Williams An updated version of "The Wizard of Oz," the show features songs like "Ease on Down the Road" and "Home." The most familiar version of the show is the 1977 motion picture starring Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Richard Pryor and Lena Horne. Filling those shoes-or in this case, silver shoes-are Danecia Allen as Dorothy, Blake Kildow as the Scarecrow, Elisse Parker as Tin Girl, Kayti Jeffords as Lion, Debbie Ratliff as Aunt Em/Glenda and Amy Allen as the Wiz. Also in the show are Eve Hazen as the story teller, Assata Haki as Evilene, Lauri Jeffords as Adaperle, Chris Jeffords as Uncle Henry, Michael Lee as the flying monkey, Duncan Ratliff as Lord High Underling, Taylor Second Saturday To Feature Praise and Worship Band, Youth Group June's Second Saturday, which is scheduled for June 13, will feature praise and worship band Neology. Opening for the group will be Ignite, a youth group from Firehouse Student Ministries with BruneI Street Church of God. The free entertainment in Phoenix Park will start at 7:30 p.m. and last until 10 p.m. The Okefenokee Art Guild will display samples of their talented works and vendors will be on hand selling food and drinks. While downtown, take some time to check out all of the businesses and what they have to offer. Downtown Waycross has always been known for providing great live entertainment. 000 WOp Group to Perform at Ritz Theatre

Waycross Area Community Theatre is excited to announce a night of entertainment downtown at the Ritz Theatre on June 27. BLEND is an a cappella doo-wop group from Southern Illinois which brings back those fun-loving memories from the music of the 1950'S and 1960'S with a twist of fun!

You'll be amazed as these four young men take the stage and provide . non-stop, family-oriented entertainment from the beginning

of their show until the end. During the show, audiences will view several comical skits including guest appearances from the Duke of Earl, Elvis and a member of the 1960'S girl group, the Dixie Cups!

But that's not all! To top it off, Stagger Lee teams up with BLEND to provide non-stop laughs and comedy that will leave the audience wanting more! The group mingles into the audience to make them feel like they are part of the show

themselves. Fans of all ages will be singing along in no time!

BLEND will be performing at the Ritz Theatre in downtown Waycross Saturday evening, June 27, beginning at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person and advance tickets may be purchased at Yarbrough Printing in downtown Waycross. Tickets will also be available at the box office one hour prior to the performance. Make plans now to attend this outstanding show!
