Lync Server 2013 (Unified Communication)Lync Server 1023 has transformed into a complete Unified Communications (UC) solution which is going to deployed in the MSTD Operation, Lync 2013 server will be in use for Instance Messaging, web conferencing, audio/video (A/V) conferencing, and complete Voice over IP (VoIP) services.Lync Server support for IM conferencing, audio conferencing, web conferencing, video conferencing, and application sharing, for both scheduled and impromptu meetings. All these meeting types are supported with a single client. Lync Server also supports dial-in conferencing so that users of public switched telephone network (PSTN) phones can participate in the audio portion of conferences.MSTD will have 4 Instance of MS Lync 2013 Server with single domain name within two locations PDC and DRC, Each Location will have 2 servers on the virtual windows 2012 operating system and will be hosted on two different physical host. Database of the Lync 2013 server will be stored in the external HP storage server.Lync Server user will be configure by the Lync Server Administrator and the rights of accessing the video and voice call will be configure as per the policy and MSTD decision.Users will use the same user ID and password which is used in AD login, also LYNC Users will use the Contact detail which is used in the Outlook Client.Backup of Chat will be done on daily basis as per policy define.
