Electrical Engineer

Job Description:

We are currently interviewing for a Technical Consultant with an Electrical Engineering background to join our team. The ideal candidate would be located in Plymouth, Mi but we are willing to consider most locations for the right candidate.

Responsibilities will include: performing detailed electrical evaluations on all types of equipment relating to failures, damage, defects, and maintenance and safety issues

Primary Duties

Gather information on client’s needs Perform site inspection of equipment Photograph all equipment and areas relevant to claim Interview any and all parties relevant to a claim Perform any necessary research Write reports and present with client Establish trusting working relationship with client Establish trusting working relationship with insured Travel to required locations for either site inspection or trial/expert witness requirements

Additional Duties:

Review reports for grammatical/spelling errors as well as technical accuracy Maintain well organized and detailed files Perform marketing meetings with various clients

Required Knowledge includes:

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university Master’s or Ph.D. a plus 5+ years experience as an Electrical Engineer with experience in failure analysis/root cause analysis 5+ years’ practical experience with experience in services, installations, testing or controls Past Forensic Investigation/Engineering experience a plus PE is a plus

Required Skills include:

Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in confined spaces as needed Excellent reading, writing, and comprehension abilities

Proficiency with Microsoft-based computer programs, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Organized with the ability to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously Ability to clearly articulate findings to clients both verbally and in written form Confidence/charisma for public speaking engagements to small and large groups Ability to interact socially and at mixed engagements with clients Ability to cold call on clients a plus Proficiency in a language other than English a plus
