COMPETITIVE VETERANS This event is for Dogs and Bitches 7 years of age or older. Dog and Bitch winners will compete in the Best of Breed Class. Entry Fee is $26.0

PARADE OF RESCUE

This event is open to all Afghans, over 6 months of age, who have been adopted through an Afghan Rescue Organization or are available for adoption through such an organization. Please advise and encourage others you might know who have rescued Afghans to be part of this parade. Entrants should bring a brief write-up to the ring. There is no fee to enter this parade.

SWEEPSTAKES All Afghan hounds who are 6 months of age and not over 18 months of age on the day of the show are eligible to compete. All entries in the Sweepstakes Classes MUST be entered in a regular class. Entry of Sweepstakes is $15.00. Dogs must be entered in one of the regular classes, with “sweepstakes” marked in the additional classes space of the entry form. Prize money paid in the ring, to the handler.

178 Horseshoe Bend Road Frenchtown, NJ 08825

Horseshoe Bend Rd. North of the Park is VERY NARROW & WINDING.

Large vehicles and Rigs MUST NOT take Horseshoe Bend Rd. South from Route #12.

From Route 287 and Points North and West Take 202 South Somerville/Flemington Exit, Follow 202 South for 14.5 miles. At the Roundabout in Flemington follow Route 12 West and continue for 7.5 miles toward Frenchtown. Make a left onto Route 519 South and continue for 2.5 miles. Make a right onto Fairview Road. Fairview road turns into Horseshoe Bend Road. After approximately one mile the Show Site will be on the Left.

From Route 78 and Points West Take Jutland Route 173 Exit. Make a left off the exit. Turn right on Perryville Road Route 625 and continue for 2 miles. Make a left on Route 579 and then a quick right continuing on Route 625/ Mechlin Corner Road and continue for 3 miles. Make a left on Route 513 then another quick left onto Hog Hollow Road and continue for 6 miles. Hog Hollow Road will become Route 519. Make a right onto Fairview Road. Fairview road turns into Horseshoe Bend Road. After approximately one mile the Show Site will be on the Left.

From Devon Show grounds and points South Exit from Show Grounds left onto Penns Park Rd.. At stop sign turn RIGHT onto #232/2nd St. Pike. At traffic light turn left onto #413N/Durham Rd. Proceed to intersection with Route #263. Turn right onto #263 E. Shortly after crossing the Delaware River, at “T”, turn left onto #29 North. Follow #29 for 9.9 mi. & turn right onto Fairview Rd. Go 1.8 miles and turn sharp left onto Horseshoe Bend Rd. #178 is the second entrance to the Park on your left. (slightly past Spring Hill Rd.) If you reach #519 in error turn left and proceed to Spring Hill Rd. Turn left on Spring Hill and follow 1.4 mi. to end. Turn right onto Horseshoe Bend Rd. Do NOT cross Horseshoe Bend Rd into SOUTH Park Entrance! Show Site is the 2nd (N entrance) drive on left.

NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS FEES: $32.00 for the first entry of each dog (entry fees include: $1.50 AKC event services fee and $.50 AKC recording fee on first entry only) Except: Bred By Exhibitor, Competitive Veterans and Puppy which are $26.00 and Puppy Sweepstakes which are $15.00.

THE SHOW: Will be open from 8:00am to 5:00pm

UNSIGNED ENTRIES: Telephone, Telegraphed, email and unsigned applications cannot be accepted.

RETURNED CHECKS: Do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Show Secretary will add a $35.00 collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitor may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY basis.

ENTRIES RECEIVED WITHOUT FEES: Will not be accepted

REFUNDS: Fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by a Veterinarian or Judge, or absent from competition by

ERRORS ON ENTRY BLANK: Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms whoever may make such errors and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellations of entries after the published closing date.

NO REFUND FOR DUPLICATE ENTRIES: We will make every effort to find all duplicate entries but if a dog has been processed, no refund will be made.

CONSULT JUDGING PROGRAM FOR TIME OF JUDGING: Dogs may arrive any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused. Judges will not wait for any dog holding up the class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. The show giving club has no obligations or responsibility for providing service through public address systems, stewards, or runners for the purpose of calling or locating dogs that are not brought into the ring as required.

ALL DOGS PRESENT: must be held on leash or confined in their crates except when being judged or when in the exercise ring.

CLASS CASH PRIZES: Will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. Claims for prize money must be made in the ring before the judging of that breed is over and the Show Secretary advised at once. The Show giving Club may disclaim any liability for cash prizes after the judging of the breed is over.

THE SHOW COMMITTEE/CLUB: will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, nor assume any liability in the event of an accident or misfortune to either dogs or exhibitors participating in this event.

NO GASOLINE OR DIESEL GENERATORS: are permitted inside the building or within 100 feet of any tent or pavilion in which the dog show is conducted.

No refund will be made because of riots, civil disturbance or other acts beyond the control of the management if it is impossible to open or complete the show.

NO ENTRY SHALL BE MADE AND NO ENTRY SHALL BE ACCEPTED WHICH SPECIFIES ANY CONDITIONS AS TO ITS ACCEPTANCE.
