THE SCENE | Susan Stearns, a recipient of the 2015 Good Neighbor Award and a REALTOR®-Sales Associate with the Calabasas office of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties, was honored November 14 at the 2015 National Association of REALTORS® Conference & Expo in San Diego.
THE HIGHLIGHTS | Susan and the four other winners were invited on stage, and presented a crystal trophy and a $10,000 grant for the charity of their choice. David Cabot, President and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties, and Gino Blefari, CEO, HSF Affiliates LLC, were there to support Susan and her incredible accomplishments.
THE CAUSE | Over the past 30 years, Susan has raised more than $2.5 million for New Horizons, a nonprofit dedicated to adults with intellectual disabilities. Her own daughter is a client of New Horizons, which makes the grant Susan accepted an even greater reward. The Good Neighbor Awards have been distributed annually since 2000, recognizing those who volunteer in their communities, improve the quality of life for their neighbors, and go above and beyond in their commitment to making their neighborhoods better places to live.
