2+2-seaters have a long and illustrious tradition at Ferrari. The 612 Scaglietti seamlessly continued this tremen-

dous success story since its debut in the fall of 2003. To make this extraordinary automobile even more exclusive

and to add an even higher level of customization NOVITEC ROSSO now offers new accessories such as a custom-

tailored tire/wheel combination with diameters of 20 and 21 inches, a power increase to 565 hp / 416 kW, a

The new wheels feature a striking design with five double spokes and polished outer flanges. Contrary to

the 19-inch production wheels, the 612 Scaglietti in NOVITEC ROSSO trim sports a combination of size

9Jx20 wheels in front and size 12.5Jx21 rims on the rear axle.

This measure benefits not only the driving dynamics of the car but also and foremost the coupe’s appear-

ance. The staggered wheels further emphasize the wedge-shaped design of the two-door car.

In the P Zero tire technology partner Pirelli offers the perfect ultra-high-performance tires for this tire/wheel

combination that makes optimal use of the available space in the wheel wells Tires in size 275/30 ZR

20 on the front axle provide enormous grip during fast cornering and hard braking. Tires in size 355/25

R 21 on the rear axle allow even higher cornering speeds and provide maximum traction.

Further cornerstones of the NOVITEC ROSSO program for the 612 Scaglietti are a power increase and

an even sportier exhaust note. The inner workings of the V12 engine with a displacement of 5,748 cm³

remain untouched. The power increase to 565 hp / 416 kW at 7,290 rpm is the product of a newly

calibrated engine management system and the NOVITEC ROSSO stainless-steel high-performance ex-

haust system.

The tuning gives the V12 engine an even crisper response and lets it rev up even faster. Simultaneously

peak torque grows to 609 Nm at 5,300 rpm. A top speed of more than 325 km/h and a sprint time for

0 – 100 km/h of just 3.9 seconds make the 2+2-seater an even more dominant sports car.

The NOVITEC ROSSO sport exhaust system is an integral part of the power increase and produces a truly

delightful exhaust note. The NOVITEC ROSSO exhaust is easily distinguished by its four 90-mm tailpipes

cut at an angle.

NOVITEC ROSSO upgrades the four-seat interior according to customers’ personal preferences. The ergo-

nomically shaped sport steering wheel comes in any color imaginable. But that’s not all: Customers can

also freely choose the steering wheel’s material as well as the thickness of the rim. The rim is flattened at

the bottom for easier entering and exiting of the vehicle.

NOVITEC ROSSO interiors are characterized by precision finish and striking colors. But NOVITEC ROS-

SO realizes not only Ferrari owners’ personal material and color selections, it custom-tailors the seat to

The Goldrush Rally is touted by its organizers as “a trendsetting celebration and one of the fastest

growing social events & lifestyle brands. This exciting event is a mixture of an exotic & supercar rally,

nightlife parties, celebrities, DJ’s, and 100 VIP participants…It’s not a rally, it’s a lifestyle.” Truer

words have never been spoken. The Goldrush rally is a 5 day event produced by the creators of

Luxury4Play, www.l4p.com, the world’s premier online community of enthusiasts with interests in fine

automobiles, boating, aviation, timepieces, cigars, cuisine and all things luxury.

The Goldrush Rally’s inaugural event, held in 2009, was conceived as an event to bring L4P members

together to enjoy their passions on the road and in luxurious venues in San Fransisco, Los Angeles

and Las Vegas. This past June, GR2KX expanded to 5 cities, kicking off in Seattle with a party stop

in Portland, Oregon before the SF, LA and LV stops. With over 100 participating vehicles, including

dozens of Ferraris and Lamborghinis as well as numerous exotics ranging from a replica 427 Cobra

to the ultra exclusive SCC Ultimate Aero, the Goldrush was a spectacle of success everywhere it went.

As Luxury 4 Play’s premier sponsor, it was only natural that WTW Inc., the manufacturers of Luxury

Wheel Brands Giovanna, Gianelle, GFG Forged and Koko Kuture, assume the role of Exclusive

Platinum Sponsor for GR2KX. Securing this sponsorship deal meant that every Goldrush participat-

ing vehicle would be decked out with huge gold Giovanna Logos. WTW President and CEO, Diko

Sulahian would never be content to let a group of like-minded enthusiasts rip up the roads of the West

coast wearing his daughter’s name on their cars without joining in on the fun himself! Diko planned

on kicking GR2KX off in style in Seattle and driving a different vehicle from his stable on each leg of

the rally. Life proved ever-unpredictable for the wheel industry magnate as meetings with international

customers kept him in his Southern California headquarters a couple days longer than anticipated,

meaning he would have to join the Goldrush at its San Francisco destination, the Fremont Hotel.

Diko arrived to the hotel to find his ride for the SF-LA leg of the rally already waiting for him in

its VIP spot out front. That ride was his brand spanking new Porsche Panamera Turbo, replete

with massive 22” GFG Forged Gavar wheels. Diko had only acquired the car days earlier and

had only driven the car once prior to leading the parade of exotic hardware to start the voyage

to Los Angeles. Diko was amazed with the car’s performance, keeping pace with Lamborghini

Gallardos on the freeway and through the twisty backroads, thanks to the massive footprints

of the GFG wheels and Pirelli rubber. Diko and the Panamera arrived at the Goldrush’s LA

destination, the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills without a hiccup, ready to relax. Los Angeles has a

reputation as a party paradise, second only to maybe Las Vegas and the SLS disappoint. As

the late Tupac Shakur once noted, California knows how to party. And party they did, the 100

or so Goldrush participants, accompanied by an additional 200 or so revelers, making this the

marquis event of the rally.

After a late night of partying, the next morning’s scheduled 8am departure was no easy

feat, but the Goldrush warriors peeled themselves out of bed and strapped into their exotic

chariots, ready to storm the desert. Leading the charge again was Diko, this time with the

newest vehicle in his arsenal, the just-released Mercedes SLS AMG. Even hardcore automo-

tive aficionados had yet to even see the new Gullwing in the flesh, but Diko’s not one to roll

stock, so the first SLS that many folks laid eyes on was this masterpiece in Goldrush livery

and beautiful GFG 3pc forged wheels. The wheels are 20” front and 21” rear, a perfect +1

fitment compared to the stock 19”/20” setup. The GFG Medellin wheel centers were custom

painted Mercedes Obsidian black to match the car’s metallic paint, providing the car with a

much more intimidating appearance while Continental tires provide added grip. After testing

the limits of that adhesion with a few hot laps on the track at Spring Mountain Motorsports

Park in Pahrump, Diko and the Goldrush gang cruised to their Las Vegas home base, the

beautiful brand new Mandarin Oriental hotel. The hotel provided a striking background for

the exotic automobiles that filled its valet area. The hotel’s Sky Lobby and rooms were equally

impressive, but fter a quick rest, it was off to Tao, in the Venetian, for the Goldrush awards

banquet and cocktails, followed by another debaucherous all-night party at the beautiful

outdoor lounge, Tao Beach.

The Goldrush proved to be a unique event bringing together a diverse group of automotive

enthusiasts with a passion for life and the best it has to offer. As soon as the rally ended, its

survivors were nostalgic about the amazing experience they had just had and already clear-

ing their schedules for the following year. These pictures cover just a couple chapters of an

amazing tale that words could never do justice and if you had to ask any GR2KX participants

what the rally was all about, the likely answer would be “Shhhh….just let it happen.” •

On a beautiful sunny day at 25 degrees the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport achieved a new landspeed world re-

cord for production cars, on the proving grounds of the Volkswagen Group at Ehra-Lessien (nearby its headquarters

at Wolfsburg). In the presence of the German Technical Inspection Agency (TÜV) and a representative of Guinness

Book of Records the Super Sport achieved an average top speed of 431 km/h.

Saturday, 2 pm – Bugatti’s Pilote Officiel Pierre Henri Raphanel puts his helmet and gloves on, pulls the safety belts

tight whilst the engineers check the car a very last time: tyre pressure, temperature, all systems go. Then the orange

black Super Sport crosses the light barrier, from now on the time will be taken, within one hour the car has to drive

from South to North and then in the opposite direction.

No one but the driver is allowed to touch the car during this time. The tension rises. A few minutes later we

can hear from the left side the sound of a starting jumbo jet coming closer towards us. First we perceive

the headlights of the Veyron, then we can recognize the shape of the car, a loud wooosh…. and Raphanel

dashes in top speed past us. The GPS-tachometer stops at 427, 933 km/h.

Now the same procedure from the opposite direction. This time the car reaches 434, 211 km/h. As aver-

age top speed the representatives of the “TÜV”and Guinness generate a value of 431, 072 km/h (268

mph). This even hit Bugatti’s engineering team by surprise.

“We took it that we would reach an average value of 425 km/h,” explains Bugatti’s chief engineer Dr.

Wolfgang Schreiber, “but the conditions today were perfect and allowed even more.” •

The brake system, which replicates the system fitted to the

Quattroporte Sport GT S and uses dual-cast technology, is

further enhanced by the hand-polished calipers both at the

front and rear. With the Quattroporte Sport GT S “Awards

Edition”, Maserati and Brembo are introducing on the mar-

ket for the first time polished calipers, treated with pre-

cision mechanical processes and featuring a hand finish

which gives them their special mirror-like appearance and

enhances their sporty credentials at the same time.

The interior also bears witness to the combination of sport-

ing flair and craftsmanship that has always characterized

the Maserati flagship sedan. The Poltrona Frau leather of

the seats is combined with perforated Alcantara with a

new undulated pattern, and the headlining still in Alcan-

tara. Completing the interior space are the special brushed

aluminum door sills and Piano Black satin-finish wood

moldings.

The boot with a full black trim has been embellished further

with chrome details and a leather side pocket. The atten-

tion to details has even been extended to the mats, which

are made of even richer and softer material. •

MANSORY Switzerland devotes itself to the Porsche Panamera Turbo. The specialist for fine-tuning Porsche ve -

hicles turns the Zuffenhausen Gran Turismo into a hot-blooded power pack with a 690 HP, a max. torque of 800

Nm and a spectacular body design. Perfectly matching components turn the front section of the MANSORY modi-

fication into a dynamic highlight: the new front skirt with adapted LED daytime running lights in combination with

the striking bonnet made of carbon fibre give the front section a distinctive character. Masculine broadenings for

the wings and doors perfectly harmonise with the new side skirts.

At the back of this four-door-car, an enormous carbon diffuser and the centrally located double end pipes of

the sports exhaust system render a thrilling atmosphere. MANSORY decorates the originally hydraulic rear with

carbon applications or entirely replaces it with a static wing profile made of carbon. The engineers produce the

new aerodynamics components in high-strength polyurethane (PU-RIM) and Prepreg-Autoclav-Carbon, the char-

acteristic material for MANSORY.

In addition to the exciting look, the MANSORY engine department developed a powerful performance enhancement

for the 4.8 litre turbo engine. The power pack contains an amended engine electronics, larger turbo chargers and a

stainless steel sports exhaust system. Thanks to these modifications, the engine output rises to an astonishing 690 hp /

507 kW (serial: 500 hp / 368 kW) and pushes the torque to 800 Nm at 4800 r.p.m. Therefore, the 4WD-automobile

accelerates from 0 to 100 km/ in only four seconds and achieves a top speed of 328 km/h (serial: 303 km/h).

The wheel-tyre combination has been especially designed for

Porsche and renders sufficient grip: The latest development and

highlight in the offered rim programme is an especially light 22-

inch forged wheel in turbine design. At the front axle, the 9 inch

wide wheels carry the high performance wheels Dunlop SP Sport-

Maxx in the dimension 265/30ZR22 while the rear 10-inch wide

wheels are equipped with tyres measuring 295/25ZR22.

In order to provide the driver directly with the experience of an

automobile refined by MANSORY, the engineers included ex-

tensive refinements. A widespread leather interior can be indi-

vidually matched with the most precious woods, finest varnish or

dynamic carbon. The pedals made of brushed aluminium perfect

the interior equipment. With the newly designed sports steering

wheel, the driver can feel the elegance of the refined Porsche

straight in his hands.

New graphics on the hood and body side of the truck are executed in an engine-turned finish and feature di-

mensional satin chrome “Harley-Davidson” lettering. The graphics are reminiscent of the “speed scallops” used

on hot rods.

Interior trim panels are covered in Tuxedo Black paint, while the door scuff plate and console lid also carry the

engine-turned finish. All interior chrome surfaces feature a new satin finish. Premium leather-trimmed seats come

with accent color inserts and a unique cloisonné badge.

Ford tapped into a bit of its proud racing heritage to create the new 6.2-liter V8 gasoline engine,

which uses big-bore architecture to produce impressive horsepower and torque. The new gasoline

engine delivers 411 horsepower and 434 lb.-ft. of torque and provides improved maximum trailer

towing capacity of 9,300 pounds.

“This engine has tons of torque and already has been proven in the field with both the F-150 SVT

Raptor and Super Duty,” said Mike Harrison, V8 engine program manager. “The exhaust for the

Ford Harley-Davidson edition has been specially tuned to feature a throaty V8 rumble customers

will love.”

The 2011 Ford Harley-Davidson™ F-150 adds plenty of technology options to give customers

what they are looking for. Key to helping customers take advantage of all the capability offered

by the Harley-Davidson F-150 is a standard 4.2-inch LCD (liquid crystal display) productivity

screen.

This screen offers menu options, giving the customer important information related to fuel econ-

omy and towing performance. The menu is navigated through a five-way button on the steering

wheel and is positioned between the tachometer and speedometer.

Additionally, the 2011 Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 comes equipped with a standard voice-acti-

vated Navigation System that integrates several functions including voice-recognition destination

entry, climate control and SIRIUS® Satellite Radio into one easy-to-use system, displaying them

on an 8-inch touch screen. •
