monuments, but in the call to prayer at sunset,

or in talk with local residents in an Arabian

coffee house.

Giza – the sole survivors of the Seven Ancient Wonders – the lotus-

columned Temples of Luxor and Karnak, sunrise across the Valley of

Simbel have thrilled visitors for centuries.

Dubai’s inimitable mix of soaring skyscrapers, lavish shopping,

beautiful mosques and glorious sandy beaches make for an exciting

holiday. Home to the world’s most luxurious hotels, you can expect

adventures galore, from camel rides to diving and sand-boarding

to snow skiing at the world’s largest indoor ski resort on your

Dubai holiday.

rugged mountain ranges, deserts and crystal springs and the town

of Muscat offering the most sophisticated and yet modern taste of

the Middle East, a luxury Oman holiday is the beginner’s guide to

the wonders of this most beautiful of regions.

With a thousand miles of coastland offering the very best in beaches

and studded with historic forts and palaces, this ‘Jewel of the Middle

A luxury India holiday will dazzle you with its

beauty and diversity. India offers a sensual

overload of snowbound peaks, blistering

deserts and stunning coastline, surrounding

dramatic cities, remote villages and some of

the most incredible architectural delights man

has ever created.

Its glorious diversity extends to the people and their lifestyles,

with each region generating a totally unique culture. Their

silverware, carpets, leatherwork and antiques make India a

veritable shopping paradise. Silks, spices and jewellery are

also excellent value for money, as is the delicious food.

Delhi, with its colonial architecture and bustling street life, evokes

the very essence of India’s glorious heritage, a gateway into a land

of palatial ruins and timeless monuments. Here the sacred Ganges

flows past a tableau of hilltop forts and holy cities, where the

elegance of Jaipur and Udaipur offer stark contrast to the jungles

Aside from wondrous sites including the Taj Mahal and Amber Fort,

India offers visitors a wealth of diversions, such as spa treatments,

This national park received international recognition from Rudyard Kipling’s classic tale, the Jungle Book. The park’s open habitat not only lends well to wildlife viewing, but also offers striking views of the area’s sheer beauty.

Baghvan is aptly named after one of India’s iconic symbols, the Bengal

tiger. This enchanting lodge is located on the edge of Pench National

Park, a dry deciduous forest of predominantly teak trees and meandering

jungle streams. A mere five-minute drive to the park’s entrance takes

guests deep into the heart of the Indian jungle. Breakfasts and lunches

are served on a sweeping shaded deck surrounding the beautiful

swimming pool and overlooking the nullah, a favoured route of the Pench

tigers. Sunset is celebrated with cocktails under a huge Banyan tree

whilst watching a giant flying squirrel perform breathtaking aerobatics.

The 12 charming stand alone suites have a contemporary bungalow feel

with a cheeky 50’s ambience, with contrasting hues of copper and pale

turquoise. Stairs lead guests up to a machan (a covered rooftop platform)

which is perfect for romantic sleep outs.

One of Central India’s lesser known reserves, Pench National Park is

situated in the Seoni and Chhindwara districts of Madhya Pradesh.

Dominated by hills, forests and valleys, this national park derives its

name from the Pench River, which meanders its way through the entire

stretch of the 760 km² park. A typical Central Indian teak jungle, Pench

supports a rich variety of wildlife, including the tiger, leopard, wild dog,

gaur, sambar, chital and brilliant birdlife.

Discover the beautiful jungle of Bandhavgarh National Park and learn about the rich biodiversity of Central India. A once in a lifetime experience, replete with adventure, impeccable service and lush luxury.

The name Mahua Kothi draws its inspiration from one of India’s most

beautiful trees, the Madhuca Indica or butter tree. The lodge sprawls over

the 17 hectare grounds, just 20 minutes from the park entrance. The 12

charming guest suites are built in the vernacular style of Central India

and each is accessed through private courtyards with shaded seating and

traditional mud floors. Interiors include wooden shutters, tapered mud

coloured walls in lime and earth washes and open rafters with roughly

hewn wooden beams.

Situated in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, Bandhavgarh

National Park is a 450 km² renowned tiger reserve. Nestled among

the picturesque Vindhya and Satpura ranges, this is one of India’s most

beautiful national parks. The dramatic landscape features tropical forests

and woodlands, and steep rocky hills with flat grasslands in the valleys

below. An ancient 2000 year old fort, 10th-century statue of Lord

Vishnu, and the dense Sal jungle combined with the grasslands make

Bandhavgarh one of the most extraordinary parks in India.

The density of its tiger population has made Bandhavgarh world famous.

The park is also home to a large variety of mammals: leopard, spotted

deer, Sambar deer, nilgai, wild boar, chinkara, sloth bear, rhesus macaque,

grey langur, jungle cat, hyena, porcupine, jackal, fox, and wild dog.

Covering a rich diversity of landscapes, cultures

and historical narrative, this vibrant region

provides a magnitude of sensory experiences.

A continent where communist states lie

alongside democratic republics and kingdoms,

where colonial landmarks jostle for attention

with skyscrapers and ancient temples.

China still remains one of the least understood and powerfully

impressive nations in the East. Among the verdant jungles of

Cambodia, the spectacular remains of the once great Khmer Empire

stand silent and proud, the exquisite temples of Angkor being

amongst the finest of their kind. The beautiful landscapes and

fading French facades of Vietnam and Laos seem a far cry from

the colonial wars of the past, the mighty Mekong and its people

continuing to ebb and flow much as they have for generations.

Visitors to Asia claim that it’s the everyday details that provide

the most unforgettable memories of their holidays here: a rainbow

of vibrant prints in the markets, the scent of aromatic spices frying

on the street stalls, the sight of an elephant being ridden through

the streets or the feel of the soft sand between the toes on a

pristine beach.

Combine Cambodia’s charming French-built capital, Phnom Penh, with the breathtaking monuments of Angkor for a comprehensive private journey.

Phnom Penh, the Pearl of Asia, capital of Cambodia at the hub of the

Mountains and the extraordinary landscapes of Patagonia.

Argentina’s capital, Buenos Aires, is often referred to as the ‘Paris of

Patagonia is the southernmost region of the American continent and one

Explora en Rapa Nui is situated in seclusion on the island’s southern edge

with all of the 30 rooms extending to the north and south from a central

building. The lodge has welcoming indoor spaces, integrating aspects of

the local culture. Facilities include swimming pool and open air Jacuzzis.

Daily excursions reveal the island’s secrets and let you get to know

in depth the culture and geography of Rapa Nui with its ancestral,

megalithic constructions, its people and the scenic beauty of the island.

Each afternoon, one of the guides will meet you in the lodge bar to offer

activities for the following day and help you with the challenging task

of choosing between the many available, all of them exciting.

At Adventure World we promote responsible travel to areas that conserve the natural environment and improve

the well-being of those indigenous people.

Working closely with our local ground operators, several who have won the prestigious AITO (Association of

Independent Tour Operators) Responsible Tourism Award, we aim to promote responsible, sustainable tourism in

all areas we visit.

Understanding the potential harm that can come from promoting tourism through many of the delicate

environments in which we operate is reflected in our ideology of ‘leave no trace’ tourism and we are continually

monitoring our ground operations to ensure they meet with our high standards.

2. HOW TO BOOKWe recommend booking well in advance by sending a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the tour price with a minimum deposit of NZD250 per person. Some of the tours and ground arrangements may require a higher deposit of up to 50% to meet local tour operator’s booking conditions. These details will be provided on confirmation of your booking. The deposit is required within 7 days of confirmation to hold your booking.

The booking confirmation will include the exact deposit amount required and the due date of final payment. Please read these terms and conditions carefully and raise any questions you may have prior to making your booking. Receipt of deposit will be taken as an understanding by Adventure World that the customer has checked their confirmed travel arrangements and has read and agrees to abide by the terms and conditions set forth in this brochure.

Any verbal quote given is an estimate only of the price which will be subject to advice on confirmation of the reservation, after which you will have 7 days to pay your non-refundable deposit.

3. PRICE GUARANTEE ON FULL PAYMENTPrices in this brochure are based on costs and exchange rates as at 24 January 2011. Should these costs change it may be necessary to make a surcharge on the price of your holiday which will be advised to you at the time you book. However no surcharge in respect to cost or currency fluctuations will be made to the arrangements of your holiday once full payment has been received by Adventure World, unless any changes are made to your booking in accordance with these terms and conditions. This price guarantee does not apply to: (i) fares, charges or levies imposed by airlines up until ticketing; or (ii) any taxes, charges or levies imposed by any government or their agencies.

4. AMENDMENTSOne change per booking is permitted free of charge. Each subsequent change will incur a fee of NZD75 per amendment to cover extra administrative and communication costs. In addition, cancellation and/or amendment fees may also be imposed by service providers such as accommodation providers and other service providers depending on the nature of the change. To the extent we are able to do so, we will advise you of all applicable cancellation and/or amendment charges at the time of confirmation of your booking. Separate conditions apply to air arrangements and are set out in Section 9 of these terms and conditions.

5. LATE BOOKINGSA fee of NZD75 per booking will be levied for bookings made within 10 working days of departure from New Zealand. Any booking request made within 10 working days or within any relevant supplier’s cancellation period cannot be processed until full payment has been received by Adventure World.

6. CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS – LAND ARRANGEMENTSIf you decide to cancel your holiday or you are unable to travel Adventure World will refund the amount you have paid less (i) our reasonable costs and (ii) any cancellation fees imposed by other suppliers.

It is likely that other suppliers’ cancellation fees (which we will pass on to you) will be greater when cancellation takes place closer to the departure date. If you notify us of cancellation more than 60 days before departure, then the cancellation charges are likely to only be the loss of your deposit. If you notify us of cancellation less than 60 days before departure, the cancellation charges may be up to 100% of the total booking cost. Regrettably cancellation charges cannot be waived. No refunds are available for unused services after departure from original city.

7. CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS – AIR ARRANGEMENTS

Cancellation fees will apply as required by airlines regulations and will vary dependant upon the type of airfare utilised. Airfare prices and conditions are subject to change or withdrawal without notification until ticketed. Full payment is required before tickets can be issued. Adventure World cannot be held liable for any increases in prices or changes in any airline regulations. Foreign currency airfares and airport taxes may fluctuate and are subject to the rate of exchange on date of ticket issue. Increases in airport taxes are not the responsibility of Adventure World and can be imposed up to departure. To the extent we are able to do so we will advise you of any increases of which we are aware at the time of confirmation of your booking.

8. CONSUMER CLAIMSShould you encounter any problems on your holiday it is always better to try and solve it directly with the supplier. If it is not possible to do so and you wish to lodge a complaint please do so in writing within 30 days of completing your Adventure World arrangements.

When it is necessary to change a hotel Adventure World reserves the right to substitute accommodation of at least a similar standard.

Adventure World cannot be held responsible for any changes which may occur and reserves the right to increase the price of any travel arrangement up to the date of payment in full (or the date of ticketing in the case of airfares). This includes adjustment for fuel surcharges, airfare increases as well as international exchange rate fluctuations. To the extent we are able to do so, we will notify you of any applicable change in price prior to you making payment in full.

Adventure World may update these terms and conditions at anytime. Any changes to these terms and conditions made after booking will be advised to you. The current version of terms and conditions will always be found on the website www.adventureworld.co.nz

If as a result of any of these variations either: (i) there is a material increase in the cost of your holiday during the period between confirmation of your booking and the date on which you pay for your holiday in full; or, (ii) you will suffer a material detriment, then you may cancel your holiday, in which case Adventure World will refund the amount you have paid less any cancellation fees imposed by other suppliers.
