LuxRiot is a Digital Video Recording (DVR) software package for Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/2003 Server.

LuxRiot, as every modern video recording and surveillance solution, is primarily used to:

1. View live video from multiple sources locally and remotely over the Internet.

2. Record video from multiple sources and play it back later locally or remotely.

3. Export previously recorded video to preserve it and to present it as evidence.

LuxRiot consists from 2 major components:

DVRServer DVRClient

DVRServer is a Windows service without user interface,

• Captures video from different sources and broadcasts it to multiple DVRClients.

• Records captured video locally and serves it to DVRClients as needed.

• Requires Activation key for every installation.

DVRClient is the main LuxRiot User Interface application, which is used to:

• monitor live video from multiple local and remote DVRServers simultaneously;

• playback and export recorded video from local and remote DVRServers;

• setup and configure local and remote servers.

• Can be freely distributed.

LuxRiot can accept video streams several types of sources:

1. Network (IP) cameras and servers from all major manufacturers;

2. DirectShow compatible devices including USB webcams;

3. Analog CCTV cameras via PCI video capture boards from several manufacturers.

LuxRiot Client allows to have simultaneous connections to several servers. Cameras from different physical servers could be combined in to the logical groups Layouts, which specify video screen configuration and actual cameras to be displayed in the windows.

Configuring LuxRiot is a simple and intuitive process since it’s done via user-friendly wizards.

Network Camera Search Wizards can autodetect all Network (IP) cameras on your local network or on the specified subnetwork.

Besides standard navigation through the recorded video, LuxRiot also has the ability to search for motion in the specified regions.

LuxRiot Webclient is a great option for those who prefer to avoid installing any additional software on their computers. Also webclient could be easy integrated into other applcations like Access control, PeopleCounting, etc.
