KIDS IN THE COMMONS (K-2 ND GRADE) TUESDAY, December 10 th This activity is FREE and will run from 3:15–5:00pm. For more information please contact Mrs. Dinger. SCHOOL BREAKFAST FACTS A great breakfast program is offered at school every day! Here are some fun facts about school breakfast: It’s easy! Instead of running around in the morning trying to make sure your children eat a healthy meal, let us do the work. They can get a great breakfast at school, and there will be no dishes for you to wash! It’s affordable! If qualified, your child may be able to get breakfast at a reduced price or for free. If your child already eats a free or reduced price lunch, they automatically qualify for a free or reduced price breakfast. It’s tasty! Schools now have more variety to choose from when deciding what to offer your children for breakfast. Request a menu so you can view what your child may be eating at school. It’s good for the brain! Research suggests that not having breakfast can affect children’s intellectual performance. DRESSING FOR THE COLD WEATHER We want to remind parents that students will have recess outside on almost all winter days. The exception is whenever the temperature is below zero. If and when the temperature reaches that point, our students will then stay inside for recess. We do take wind chill into consideration. RESTOCKING SCHOOL SUPPLIES We would like to encourage parents to talk to their children before break about their school supply needs. School supplies make great stocking stuffers. Common supply needs include: pencils, erasers, dry erase markers and glue. If you have specific questions about your child’s supplies, please contact their teacher. COMMUNITY EDUCATION NOTES K-2 Basketball Reminder: There will be basketball this Saturday. Just a reminder that it will take place in the MS/HS Gym. Please enter under the canopy. ***** RESCHEDULED ***** MMM…MMM…GOOD… RIB TICKLER MEAL & HOCKEY DOUBLE HEADER (Sponsored and Grilled by Rock County Pork Producers) TUESDAY, DECEMBER 17 th Blue Mound Ice Arena (Meal starts at 5:00pm goes until gone) $5 Rib Tickler, chips and a cookie Proceeds benefit the Jr. After Prom Committee NEED A HOLIDAY QUICK & EASY MEAL???
