Lunch Orders, Grooming Space &

Electrical Order Request There is no unreserved/free electrical in the building.

The building can be accessed on Friday for set-up from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm. The build-ing will be available from 7:00 am until two hours after Best of Breed on Saturday and one hour after Best of Breed on Sunday.

1. If you require electrical service, you must reserve it in advance at a cost of $35 per plug for the weekend. (No splitters allowed) Grooming space is provided free of charge and will be assigned based on your total number of crates and tables.

2. Space will be assigned in the order received. Number of spaces is limited.

3. No phone reservations will be accepted.

4. No reservations will be accepted without payment in full. US funds only will be ac-cepted. Returned checks do not constitute a valid reservation fee.

5. Requests for spaces together must be sent in together. If you are requesting to be set up next to another exhibitor, spaces may be combined; please be sure all par-ties are aware of the request

6. For confirmation of reservations, please include your E-mail address.

7. The Twin Cities Voyageur English Springer Spaniel Association, Inc. reserves the right to consolidate spaces if space is not fully utilized.

8. No exercise pens will be allowed indoors in the reserved grooming spaces.

9. Set-up allowed in assigned spaces only. Any equipment placed in unauthorized areas will be confiscated at the owner’s expense.

10. All equipment & dogs must be removed one hour after Best in Show on Sunday.

11. There is separate indoor crating space for obedience/rally.

Classes are for dogs/bitches seven (7) years old and over. Winners may compete for Best of Breed competition if otherwise undefeated on the day of the show.

Offered for dogs & bitches entered and exhibited in the puppy classes to compete for Best Puppy In Specialty. Puppies winning Best of Breed or Best of Winners in regular conformation classes are automatically Best Puppy In Specialty.

SHOOTING DOG & SHOOTING.BITCH CLASS FOR ENGLISH SPRINGER SPANIELS

Shooting Dog Class and Shooting Bitch Class shall be open to any intact English Springer Spaniel which has earned the Parent Club Working Certificate or the Working Certificate Excellent or has won a ribbon in an AKC Licensed Spaniel Field Trial or Hunting Test. Judging will be on conformation only, and the winners of the Shooting Dog Classes may compete for Best of Breed if otherwise undefeated on the day of the show.

BEST BRED-BY-EXHIBITOR COMPETITION Offered for dogs & bitches entered and exhibited in the Bred-By-Exhibitor class to compete for Best Bred-By-Exhibitor In Specialty. Dog or Bitch winning Best of Breed or Best of Winners in regular conformation classes are automatically Best Puppy In Specialty.

BEST OF BREED COMPETITION

The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of record and dogs according to their owner’s records have completed the requirements for a Championship but whose Championships are unconfirmed. The showing of dogs whose Championships are unconfirmed is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where a dog completed the requirements for a Championship according to the owners’ records.

SELECT DOG / SELECT BITCH

After Best of Breed, Best of Winners and Best of Opposite Sex are judged, the remaining Champions of Record will stay in the ring. The judge may award Select Dog and/or Select Bitch from among the Champions of Record . The award of Select Dog or Select Bitch is at the sole discretion of the Judge.

Due to a rule change, effective September 2002, the AKC has asked that the following items be included in all conformation Premium Lists.

All dogs entered in the Bred-By Class must be individually registered with the AKC.

The person handling the dog must be a breeder of record of the dog and an owner of record of the dog.

To exhibit in this class, family members must be a breeder and owner of record.

No dog shall be exhibited in a licensed or member dog show, except for dogs en-tered in the Miscellaneous Class unless it is either individually registered in the AKC Stud Book, or individually registered with a foreign registry organization whose pedigrees are acceptable for AKC registration.

ENTRIES MUST BE SIGNED at the bottom by the owner or the owner's duly authorized agent, otherwise the entry cannot be accepted.

RETURNED CHECKS or DECLINED CREDIT CARDS do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Show Secretary will add a collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitor may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY basis.

TELEPHONE, TELEGRAPH, AND UNSIGNED ENTRIES CANNOT BE ACCEPTED.

FAX ENTRIES FOR THIS SHOW WILL BE ACCEPTED UP TO THE CLOSING TIME AND DATE. The Fax Entry number is 320-963-6087. Official AKC Entry Forms must be used and both sides of the entry form must be transmitted. Credit Card issuer's name (Visa or Master Card only), credit card number, expiration date, cardholder's name, and signature must appear on a cover page. Fax Entry System fee is $3.50 per class per show in addition to entry fees. All entries, regardless of method of submission, using a credit card as a method of payment will be processed through the Fax Entry System and are charged the additional fee. Proof of transmission is not proof of receipt of a legible or complete transmission.

ENTRIES NOT ON OFFICIAL AKC ENTRY FORMS AND PHOTOCOPIES OF ENTRY FORMS without the Agreement and Rules on the reverse side of the Official AKC Entry Form are NOT ACCEPTABLE.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF ENTRIES will be made as soon as practicable. Should such acknowledgment not be received by the exhibitor within a reasonable time, please notify the Show Secretary, 320-963-7705.

NO ENTRY SHALL BE MADE AND NO ENTRY SHALL BE ACCEPTED WHICH SPECIFIES ANY CONDITIONS AS TO ITS ACCEPTANCE.

ENTRY FEES SHALL NOT BE REFUNDED in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee; or, if the Show cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, extreme and/or dangerous weather conditions, an Act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, strikes or any other cause beyond the control of the Club or the Show Secretary. We will make every effort to find all duplicate entries, but if an entry has been processed, no refund will be made.

ERRORS ON ENTRY BLANKS. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms. No entry fee will be refunded in the event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date.

CONSULT JUDGING PROGRAM FOR TIME OF JUDGING.

THIS CLUB DOES NOT AGREE TO ARBITRATE CLAIMS as set forth on the Official AKC Entry Form for these events.

THE SHOW COMMITTEE/SHOW SECRETARY will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, nor assume any liability in the event of an accident or misfortune to either dogs or exhibitors participating in this show.

NOTE - Foreign dogs are eligible for Puppy Classes and Open Classes, effective January 1, 1985.

NON-REGULAR CLASSES, INVOLVING MULTIPLE DOG ENTRIES

STUD DOG CLASS

For Stud Dogs and two of their Get. It is not necessary that the Get be under the same ownership as that of the Stud Dog. The Stud Dog may be entered separately or in another class. Get MUST be entered in one of the Regular Classes. The Stud Dog and his Get shall be considered as one entry and requires only one entry fee, this being the additional class fee if the Stud Dog is entered in another class. If entered for Stud Dog Only, Regular Class fee will be charged for the Unit. The Stud Dog MUST be shown in the ring with his Get. Get only to be judged, based on the merits of the Get. While the merits of the Stud Dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy or the standard for its breed. As the judge’s decision in this class will be based on the merits of more than one dog, no one of the dogs making up the entry judged first in the class will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed (Variety) by virtue of having won this class. Entry is $20.00 as an additional entry.

BROOD BITCH CLASS Same as for Stud Dog Class except substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and Produce for Get.

BRACE CLASS Two Dogs of the same breed and must have at least one common owner. Both dogs must be entered in another class. (regular or non-regular).

Puppy Sweepstakes are open to all dogs and bitches, 6 months and under 18 months of age on the day of the show. All dogs and bitches entered in the Puppy Sweepstakes must be entered in a regular class at the show. Entries shall be made at the same time and on the same form as the Regular Classes. Entries shall be made in the space marked "Additional Classes" on the entry form by writing "Sweepstakes." The entry fee is $20.00. Sweepstakes will be divided by sex and will be judged prior to the Regular Conformation Classes.

Judge’s Award of Merit - Offered by the Twin Cities Voyageur English Springer Spaniel Association, Inc. to recognize outstanding dogs or bitches in the Best of Breed competition, excluding the Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex winners as well as Winners Dog and Winners Bitch. At the conclusion of Best of Breed Competition the judge may choose, at his discretion, dogs deserving an Award. A rosette shall be offered to the selected winners according to the following schedule.

If a female is withdrawn from competition because it came into season and the event secretary is notified no later than

one half hour prior to the start of the first class in the trial, the club giving the show will return the entry fee less $10.00

per entry to the owner of the bitch.

TCVESSA reserves the right to remove any animal in distress from a vehicle or crate, including breaking windows if necessary. All persons attending this dog show hereby waive any claim for damages against the club for such removal.

INSTRUCTIONS 1. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in., over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth), Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard).

2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which, according to their owners' records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship.

3. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e, age division, color division, weight division.

4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for an event closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to the AKC. (For complete rules, refer to Chapter 11, Section 3.)

AGREEMENT I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog.

Additionally, I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify, defend and save the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting therefrom, sustained by any person or persons, including myself (ourselves), or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence of my (our) participation in this event, however such, injuries, death or property damage may be caused, and whether or not the same may have been caused or may be alleged to have been caused by the negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of their employees, agents, or any other persons. I (WE) AGREE THAT ANY CAUSE OF ACTION, CONTROVERSY OR CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE ENTRY, EXHIBITION OR ATTENDANCE AT THE EVENT BETWEEN THE AKC AND THE EVENT-GIVING CLUB (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED IN ITS PREMIUM LIST) MYSELF (OURSELVES) OR AS TO THE CONSTRUCTION, INTERPRETATION AND EFFECT OF THIS AGREEMENT SHALL BE SETTLED BY ARBITRATION PURSUANT TO THE APPLICABLE RULES OF THE AMERICAN ARBITRATION ASSOCIATION.
