❷ the certificate authenticating the courses taken (second-to-last year of secondary school) and the related grades

ADMISSION CRITERIA A special examination board will evaluate the material sent by each individual candidate and will establish rankings based on SAT scores, scholastic background, and the motivations and age of the candidate.

Solely non-EU students interested to attend a course held in Italian will be required to self-certify knowledge of the Italian language, to be demonstrated after admission by exhibiting suitable certificates.

STANDARD SELECTION IN ITALY

ADMISSION TEST IN ITALY

DATE The admission test will take place on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in Rome, and in other locations in Italy. Registration for the test can only be done online through the internet site until March 16, 2015 inclusive. Candidates who do not pass the March 19 test can retake the test in the September 4, 2015 session. To do so, they must repeat the registration procedure, starting on June 10, 2015.

COST Before completing the application form online for the admission test, candidates must pay the €100.00 application fee.

THE TEST The test lasts 90 minutes and consists of 70 multiple-choice questions, where only one answer is correct. 70% of the questions are aptitude-based (to measure reasoning skills) and 30% are on specific topics (to measure knowledge acquired over the course of secondary school).The test will be scored as follows: each correct response equals 1 (one), each incorrect answer entails a penalty of – 0.25, and blank or multiple responses are given a value of 0 (zero).

There is no need for candidates to provide a certificate attesting to language proficiency in order to gain admission to the degree programs in English. Passing the admission test in English will constitute proof of the candidate’s fluency.

ADMISSION CRITERIA Rankings are 100% based on the test score.

REGULATIONS TO ACCESS TO ITALIAN UNIVERSITIES (FOREIGN DIPLOMAS AND DEGREES) In accordance with MIUR regulations, diplomas and degrees conferred abroad only allow access to Italian universities if:- they have been conferred by official schools in that country’s educational system;

- they entitle the student to enroll in universities in the country in which they were conferred;

- they have been conferred after a minimum of twelve years of schooling overall (primary education, secondary education) - for the undergraduate course - or fifteen years of schooling overall (primary education, secondary education and a bachelor’s degree) - for the graduate course.

Furthermore, to meet admission requirements, students holding a US High School Diploma must also either:

- have successfully completed two years of college education (and be admitted to the third year);

- have successfully completed one year of college education (and be admitted to the second year) and have passed at least four U.S. Advanced

Placement examinations (APs);

- have obtained at least three U.S. Advanced Placements (APs), one of which must necessarily be in Italian and the other two in subjects relating to the university programme applied for;

- have passed the Italian secondary school exam;

- hold a diploma (or have completed other qualifications) declared equivalent to the Italian secondary school exam.

To meet admission requirements, students holding GCEs (General Certificate of Education) must have six passing grades in different subjects, and at least three of these must be A-levels (advanced level).

INTERNATIONAL GMAT/ GRE CERTIFICATIONS

Candidates who have taken the GMAT/GRE can get a percentage bonus on the ranking or may be exempted from taking the LUISS admission test if they submit their GMAT or GRE scores by the test registration deadline with the following scores:

GMAT: 550 – 600 GRE: 145 – 148 + 10% of the LUISS test score

GMAT: 610 – 650 GRE: 149 – 151 + 20% of the LUISS test score

GMAT: at least 660 GRE: at least 152 Exempted from taking the LUISS admission test

MINIMUM CURRICULAR REQUIREMENTS DEPARTMENTS OF ECONOMICSCandidates must meet certain minimum curricular requirements in order to sit the admission test. The study plan must contain a total of 40 credits overall (already earned or to be earned) in at least two of the following disciplines:

Except for the aforementioned curricular requirements, please note that for master’s degree programs the courses listed below will not be recouped in the lessons. Students therefore must have adequate knowledge of the following subjects: Accounting and Financial, Statements, Commercial Law, Economics and Business Management, Business Finance, Macroeconomics, Financial Mathematics, Mathematics, Microeconomics, Statistics.

DEPARTMENT OF POLITICAL SCIENCE Candidates must meet certain minimum curricular requirements in order to sit the admission test. The study plan must contain a total of 40 credits overall (already earned or to be earned) in at least two of the following disciplines:
