1. A light in LED is a consequence of electrolumine-scenct effect insemiconductor material.The LEDs consists of junction composed of two different lay-ers of semiconducting p (dominance of holes) and n-type (dominance of electrones) material.

2. The electrons will flow to the p region due to the voltage applied tothe p-n junction in conduction direction.

3. In junction region the excited electrons are able to recombine with holes and release the surplus of energy in form of fotons. Nowadays the LEDs are manufactured with strictly defined and control-lable proportion of each elementary body, which enables LED manufacturing with different spectral distribution.

4. The released photons move in various di-rections, that is why only a certain percentage of them (about 20%-25%) will actually serve to create light.

5. Some of the photons that were released in the direction in which the LED emits light will be reflected by the surface of the crystal and bounce back.

6. The photons that have crossed the optical barrier, have to also pass through the lumino-phore layer. The purpose of the luminophore is to transform the monochrome blue light with a wavelength of about 450 nm into a li-ght with a radiation spectrum which begins at the abovementioned wavelength of 450 nm and reaches up to 650 nm.

1. Licht in der LED ist eine Folge von Elektrolumine-szenz-Effekt in Halbleitermaterial.Die LED besteht aus Kreuzung von zwei unter-schiedlichen Schichten aus halbleitenden p- (Do-minanz der Lcher) und n-Typ- (Dominanz der Elektronen) Material.

4. Die freigesetzten Photonen bewegen sich in beliebigen Richtungen, deswegen spielt nur eine bestimmte Anzahl davon (ca. 20% - 25%) bei der Lichterzeugung eine Rolle.

5. Ein Teil der in der Lichtabgaberichtung der LED--Diode freigesetzten Photonen wird von der Obe-rflche des Kristalls reflektiert und kehrt wieder zurck.

6. Die Photonen, welche die optische Barriere durchdringen, mssen auch die Luminophor--Schicht bewltigen. Das Luminophor dient dazu, das monochromatische Blaulicht mit einer Wellen-lnge von ca. 450nm in ein Licht zu verwandeln, dessen Strahlungsspektrum bei dieser Wellenln-ge von 450nm beginnt und bis zu 650nm reicht.

The modern design of broadly understood public spaces is often based on minimalism, large, clear and geometrical spaces. These are supported and completed by light, which corresponds to them in its shape but also its outstanding parameters; these ensure the lights high quality and guarantee that it will accentuate and complete the architectural concepts. Modern interiors marked by elegant simplici-ty are perfectly enriched by the use of deco-rative luminaires, made by LUG from high-qu-ality materials, with much care and attention to detail. Multi-part luminaires, such as FOCUS LED or luminaires that can be combined into sys-tems like VOLICA LED can often accentuate the architectural structures or even almost turn into a part of it. Thanks to the possibility of combining lu-minaires into systems, they can become an important feature shaping the interiors cha-racter. First and foremost, however, the modern de-corative lightning solutions from LUG boast subtle, geometrical shapes, which do not in-terfere with the main concept. They fit in with the interior, emphasize its best points and do not dominate the room.
