Galicia has a rich folklore, often related to the pilgrimages. Among the dances of this community stands out Muieira in its various variants . The most genuine folk instrument is the pipe, the tambourine and the drum that follows them.

BAGPIPE: any of a family of musical wind instruments in which sounds are produced in reed pipes supplied with air from a bag inflated either by the player's mouth, as in the Irish bagpipes or Highland bagpipes of Scotland, or by arm-operated bellows, as in the Northumbrian bagpipes.

DRUM: a percussion instrument sounded by striking a membrane stretched across the opening of a hollow cylinder or hemisphere.

TAMBOURINE: a percussion instrument consisting of a single drumhead of skin stretched over a circular wooden frame hung with pairs of metal discs that jingle when it is struck or shaken
