Lucas was born in Recife, Brazil, in the

10 th of March 1992. Oldest of 3

siblings, Lucas has a very close

relationship with his family. Due to his

father’s career as a civil engineer,

Lucas and his family have moved

around a lot, between cities in Brazil

and even internationally. In 2005,

Lucas had his first contact with the

English language when he moved to

Angola and enrolled at an international

school. Graduated from the Luanda

International School, Lucas came to

Penn State to become a civil engineer

and broaden his already international

culture.

Mostly due to his 5 years living in

Angola, Lucas has met many

different people from many

different cultures giving him an

international perspective view of

the world. By studying in an

international school, Lucas has

friends from various different

countries including even small

and unknown places such as the

Solomon Islands. The school he

graduated from had alone 72

different nationalities. Lucas and

his family have travelled to 18

different countries including the

continents of Africa, Europe,

South America, North America,

Asia and the Middle East.

Music plays an important part in

Lucas' life. Mostly due to the fact

that he has been in many different

places around the world, Lucas’

iTunes library has a great variety of

artists and genres. From Samba to

Hip Hop, from African music to

Techno, from Rock to Axé, Lucas

passes a great part of his day

listening to music. Some of his

favorite artists are: • Guns N’ Roses• Linkin Park• David Guetta• T.I.

• John Mayer• Jack Johnson• Red Hot Chili Peppers

• Blink 182• Nickelback• Ivete Sangalo• Nando Reis• Eminem• And many others

Lucas has been involved in a great

deal of activities during his life that

have allowed him to develop certain

talents. Mostly involved with music,

Lucas has always been very artistic.

Lucas can play the following musical

instruments:• Guitar• Bass• Drums• Some piano• Flute

Coming from a family full of

architects, Lucas has also an ease for

drawing, which lets him enjoy casual

sketching. He has also acted in many

high school plays including: Oedipus,

Midsummer Night’s Dream, Illiad and

The Hobbit.
