Living your dream takes courage, vision, and tremendous effort. What each of us does can make life better for ourselves, our family and everyone in our community.
We are proud to be a part of the mission to help women realize their life’s passion through entrepreneurship.
Celebrating the LTD Expo 2011 A Conference for Entrepreneurial Women
132234_00769 5.5x8.5 4c 1 12/7/10 8:41 AM
It is my absolute privilege to welcome you to the first annual LTD Expo, the one-stop source for your best entrepreneurial life! The mission of the LTD Expo and ltd365.com is to help women actualize their life’s passion through entrepreneurship, making the process accessible, achievable and inspiring. Our hope is to expand the often-narrow definition of “entrepreneurship” to include women who want to monetize a hobby, write a book or blog, start a charity, pursue a passion, and of course, launch a business. Each of these ventures requires many of the same resources to make their success a reality. Each of them requires the spirit of an entrepreneur. If you came today with the sole purpose of connecting with other women and businesses, may today be the beginning of rich new relationships. If you came today to learn from the amazing experts on the main stage, in the breakout sessions and in the Resource Lounge, may your day be filled with fresh insights and information that will enable you to move forward with intention. If you came today to discover something you may have been looking for, but not quite sure what, I hope you are engaged to consider pursuing your life’s purpose, or at least beginning the dialogue. It is my intention that each of you leave today armed with the knowledge, the resources, the contacts and the inspiration you need to begin to live your own dream. Welcome to my own dream realized, the LTD Expo 2011. I am delighted to be in your company and to share this day of discovery with you. And in case you haven’t figured it out already, “LTD” stands for “live the dream”, a mantra we take seriously around here! Here’s to living the dream…your dream!

Our Foundation provides women with the financial support they need to start and grow their businesses as well as mentoring events which bring together women entrepreneurs and top business leaders.

Thank you to each speaker, panelist and moderator for sharing your experiences and expertise and inspiring us to think bigger and be better!
Thank you to the organizations that have sponsored today. To Wells Fargo for stepping up and taking the lead sponsorship position based on a vision alone, and for believing in and supporting us each step of the way. To Cigna for their enthusiastic support as our lunch sponsor. And to Lifetime Television for giving us all the opportunity to network at the Connect reception.
Thank you to HP for sponsoring the Resource Lounge, and to Crave for the LTD Market-place . . . along with the help of Vroman’s, Nestle, Tangram Studios, Allergan, SBA, and the City of Pasadena, you have given us the opportunity to connect with the products, services and people that will propel us forward.
A special thanks to Ikea for creating the beautiful stage you see here today and for being the first sponsor to see the importance of our mission. Thanks to Town & Country for the hip and swanky Resource Lounge decor--we couldn’t have done it without you! And to Say No More Promotion for the fabulous goody bags and the best customer service ever. I also want to thank the Pasadena Convention Center for allowing us to make this our home and providing us with an exceptional staff.
Thank you to the Outlook and to Karie Reynolds PR for shouting from the rooftops and telling the world that we were here!
To Global Philanthropy Partners & the Tory Burch Foundation, I am grateful you’ve allowed us to come alongside you as you work to improve the lives of women through entrepreneurship.
My heartfelt thanks to the amazing Heidi Johnson for being a true connector and persuading sponsors to take a chance on this new venture. To Kaitlin Terpstra-Sweeney for keeping my head on straight, spinning plates, juggling balls and working way past bedtime to get the job done, I am forever grateful.
And to three extraordinary individuals who have invested in LTD, in this day, and in me. I am eternally grateful for your commitment, your creativity, your impeccable work and your support--thank you to Kristen Gara of Three Knocks Design, Ryan Larson of Savior Flair and Logan Hale of Your Little Film . . . you have no idea.
And finally, to my dedicated husband, thank you for letting me pursue this idea that was living in my head even if it meant assembled meals and take out, piled up laundry, and ridiculous hours in front of my computer. I am beyond blessed by you daily and thankful for your constant loving support. And to my three amazing children, I dedicate today to you and your dreams -- remember nothing ventured, nothing ventured!
With gratitude,
THANK YOU...
