LT Series ROV Launch and Recovery System (LARS) are intended for launch and

recovery of TMS/ROV/Skid package with armored umbilical cable. There are three sizes of

A-frame, three sizes of winch and three types of HPU in the series.

A-frame SWL 6Te 8Te 11Te Winch Capacity 1200m of 37mm OD 1800m of 37mm OD 3600m of 37mm OD HPU Rating 86KW 149KW 152KW

Standard combinations are LT6-1200-86, LT8-1800-86, LT8-1800-149, LT11-3600-149 or

LT11-3600-152. Other SWL, umbilical capacity and HPU rating can be accommodated

upon request.

To ensure safe operation, all LTSeries LARS are designed with 3g Dynamic Amplification

Factor and intended for operation up to Sea State 6 condition / 4.5m Significant Wave

Height. However, to meet specific user requirements, it can be delivered with different

certification options:

Zoning: Safe Area or Zone 2

Operating Temperature: 0°C to +45°C or -20°C to +45°C

Certification: Class Approved or DNV 2.7.1, DNV 2.22, 3rd Party Witnessed

Other optional features include:

All LT Series LARS comes with a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) system that

monitors umbilical bullet / docking latch position, tracks umbilical payout length and

controls levelwind position. All electronic sensors are maintenance free contactless

inductive type.

The A-frame comes with a very robust snubber (Motion Damper) with forward / aft

damping, vertical telescopic of one meter travel distance and rotate functions. The

snubber is equipped with active pneumatics air-bellow damper for the snubber “skirt” to be

able to actively engage/disengage the top of TMS or ROV. All tubing and hoses on the A-

frame are optimally routed, accessible and yet fully protected by the A-frame structure.

The snubber latch system is an elegant and simple fail-safe design where umbilical bullet

will dock automatically by spring action when being simply pull into position with the

umbilical winch.
