Enhanced visibility of your petrol station from the road encourages drivers to make a

break on their trip for fuel or convenience products in the store. Fuel dispensers, brand

names on columns, cars and people need to be clearly visible. Visitors should feel safe

and comfortable during their stay at your station. Lighting Science off ers Flat LowBay

under Canopy fi xtures with the option for a wireless network control system R-linc,

which provides extra functionalities (dimming, global PIR,...etc) and delivers even more

additional energy saving options without any addressing or programming!

Lighting Science can now provide the standard Flat LowBay with R-linc, that can easily be integrated and allow petrol station owners and visitors to fully experience the advantages of LED lamps. R-Linc makes each fi xture part of a wireless self-organizing and ad-hoc network. The complete canopy will respond to movement on the site, bringing the light levels up at a chosen light level for a specifi c chosen time if one fi xture notices any presence. This means that the network of fi xtures is always up to date and auto-updates in case new fi xtures are added or functionality is added. Each station can adapt or create its “light scene” in order to create a safer environment when required!

Benefi tsEasy installation: plug & play concept, no need for addressing, commissioning or extra cabling.

Improved customer satisfaction: lights will switch on and off simultaneously and smoothly; minimum and maximum light level can easily be preset or adjusted per location.

Safety: during night hours, all lamps will switch on when movement is detected on the site; enhanced feeling of safety for personnel, reduced refl ection levels in shop window.

Extra reduced energy costs: Lamps can switch to dim level during closing hours; also the maximum light level can be adjusted or reduced as required.

FeaturesClock: During opening hours the lights will automatically switch on or dim up / down to the requested light level.

Twilight sensor (daylight sensing): A simple daylight sensor connected to the circuit will automatically switch the lights on when the light levels fall below a predetermined level. This method will enable ease of use: the lighting will automatically be controlled each day. When dimming is enabled, further energy savings can be realized at dusk and dawn periods.

Alarm signal: All fi xtures within the R-Linc network will be activated and start to pulsate.

Presence Detection (PIR): It is possible to design a scheme for a forecourt that utilizes lighting controls to reduce the energy consumption at off -peak times for example between midnight and 5am. During this time there may be few customers, however switching the lights off completely to save energy is not desirable for safety reasons. Using the R-linc system, all lighting fi xtures within the network will gradually dim up to the preset light level when movement is detected on the site. Individual preset light levels can be determined for e.g. quiet periods, dusk and dawn to further increase energy savings!
