LSESU Exercise Classes BEGINNERS BALLET This class is an initiation to classical dance. You will learn various ballet steps and get to work on the strength and length of your muscles. Ballet is the perfect base for any type of dance and enables you to develop precision, flexibility and grace. BOXING Boxing classes will feature both fitness and technique elements, including sparring for those up to the challenge! Each session will help increase general fitness levels, explosive power and boxing skill. BOOT CAMP Boot Camp mixes traditional calisthenic/body weight exercises, with interval training and strength training to give you a high intensity workout. While there are a variety of styles of fitness and circuit classes, Boot Camp is designed to push you harder than you'd push yourself. COMMERCIAL DANCE Commercial Dance gets its inspiration from street and jazz. Its strong, sexy style is an inspiration to many artists' music videos (think Beyoncé, Lady Gaga...). Whether you're a beginner or bust moves on a daily basis, this class is a great way to get fit and boost your self-confidence! CIRCUIT TRAINING Circuit training makes use of multiple exercises, combined together to affect all facets of fitness. Improved muscular strength and endurance as well as aerobic and anaerobic fitness are all benefits of circuit training. Routines are never the same, and make use of an exciting variety of different exercise apparatus and movements. Perfect for all levels of ability and fitness. CORE EXPRESS A strong core is essential to correctly perform strength training exercises, to lift a maximum amount of weight and to reduce risk of injury. Core Express class offers an effective core workout in 15–20 minutes – perfect for those who are short of time, but still want a quick, effective and fun workout. Each class is an intensive burst of exhilaration that targets core stability. HIT FIT Hit Fit utilises a complete mix of upper and lower body exercise routines, combined with boxing combinations and drills. Classes will shape, tone and trim the entire body, using muscles you didn't even know existed! Lower stress and aggression levels, burn calories and have fun! The varied full body workouts will consist of punching, kicking, body weight and combination exercises. These will be performed individually, with partners and in teams using circuits and games. KETTLEBELL CLASS A great full body conditioning workout using only one bit of kit! This highly efficient form of exercise involves lifting and swinging the kettlebell, working the whole body as one unit and targeting almost every aspect of fitness: endurance, strength, balance, agility and cardio endurance. Remember it’s a partner dance, so you will meet others from around campus, while learning a fantastic social dance together.

TABATA TUESDAYSA circuit class with a Tabata twist to create a high intensity interval training session that will get you exercising harder than your regular gym workout. Suitable for all levels. Expect a full body workout that will improve your strength, stamina and body tone!

T'AI CHIT'ai Chi Chuan is a system of movement, meditation, and self-defence from ancient Chinese culture. The T'ai Chi form consists of a sequence of postures, strung together using smooth, slow, continuous movements. The movements of the T'ai Chi form follow a precise system of balance and relaxation. The most important principle in T'ai Chi is relaxation. In doing the T'ai Chi form, we become aware of where we are relaxed and where we hold tension.

WOMEN-ONLY CONDITIONING Women-only Conditioning will primarily focus on utilising high intensity interval training, incorporating the use of bodyweight exercise and light external resistance to give a great all-round body workout of medium to high intensity. A great class to not only get fit and lose weight, but to also boost your confidence in a variety of exercise techniques.

WOMEN-ONLY PILATESPilates is an exercise technique designed to strengthen your core (internal back and stomach muscles). It consists of a series of mat-based movements and is suitable for everyone. Pilates complements any exercise regime and has been used by dancers, athletes and celebrities for years. This class will not only help you to improve your back pain, posture, balance and coordination, but will also will help you flatten and tone those stomach muscles!

YOGAA dynamic and challenging deep slow flow yoga class, open to students new to yoga as well as those who have a more seasoned practice. Emphasis is given to healthy alignment, with focus on opening the breath and quieting the mind while strengthening the body and melting tension. The inclusion of held postures within the dynamic flow, as well as of some restorative practices, will help students reconnect with a greater sense of wellbeing.

ZUMBABurn o� the calories in our Zumba class, with the latest chart music and Latin pop sounds! Zumba is a fitness programme involving dance and aerobic elements, and is a fun way to learn a varied range of dance styles in a supportive environment while shedding the pounds. No matter if you have two left feet or no coordination, our Zumba classes are about energy, fun and laugher while burning the calories!
