!With!the!Olympics!to!look!forward!to,!and!the!Jubilee!celebrations!a!fond!memory,!we!are!ready!to!enjoy!an!event!on!which!we!pride!ourselves!<!welcome!to!Loxwood!School!Summer!Fair!2012.!!As!with!all!of!our!school!and!PTA!events,!(and!what!an!eventful!year!we!are!having!),!enormous!effort!goes!in!to!the!planning!of!our!Summer!Fair!with!the!aim!of!making!it!an!evening!of!great!fun!for!children!and!adults!alike.!!Many!of!the!favourite!traditional!attractions!such!as!beat!the!goalie,!slippery!pole,!fairground!rides,!tree!of!promises,!apple!bobbing,!craft!stalls,!singing!and!music!displays!will!be!on!offer.!!Parental!and!local!business!support!has!been!second!to!none!and!we!have!some!more!amazing!raffle!prizes!this!year!and!winners!of!the!competitions!and!the!raffle!will!be!announced!in!the!arena!at!the!fair.!!We!are!always!delighted!to!welcome!parents,!pupils!and!the!local!community!and!hope!that!you!will!enjoy!the!evening!as!much!as!we!do.!!Whether!you!are!mastering!your!skill!at!every!stall,!savouring!a!freshly!cooked!burger!or!simply!enjoying!refreshment!whilst!listening!to!the!live!music!(including!the!talents!of!some!former!pupils).!!I!would!like!to!thank!the!PTA!Fair!Committee!and!the!parents!of!the!school!for!your!hard!work!and!time!organising!the!event.!And!thank!you!again!to!you!all!for!supporting!Loxwood!School.!!!Wishing!you!an!enjoyable!evening!and!a!very!happy!Summer.!

1 cup berries (raspberries, strawberries, or blueberries) + ¼ cup pomegranate juice

+ ¼ cup water + half of a banana

+ 1 cup ice

Combine the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.

1.  The BLT – bacon, lettuce tomato, what more do you need?

2.  Coronation Chicken – totally Made in Britain.

3.  Marmite – love it or hate it, it’s undeniably ours.

4.  Cucumber – no crusts and cut into fingers (add a bit of mint for the super refreshing sarnie).

5.  Mature Cheddar & Branston Pickle – yummy.

Great British Sarnies

3 sachets Dr Oetker gelatine (Dr Oetker) 300ml Cranberry Juice 300ml Vanilla Milkshake 300ml Blue Powerade ( alternatively use lemonade with a drop of blue food colouring) Boiling water Cream and fruit to garnish or vanilla ice cream 1.  Pour 120 ml boiling water into a measuring jug 2.  Immediately sprinkle over 1 sachet of gelatine, stir briskly until thoroughly mixed. 3.  Add the Powerade (or blue alternative) and mix well. 4.  Skim off the bubbles and then pour into the 6 glasses. Put it in the fridge for at

least an hour to set. 5.  Repeat above with vanilla milkshake and again put in the fridge to set. 6.  Repeat again with the cranberry juice and set in the fridge. 7.  Top with cream and fruit or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Make these jellies in little glasses to get the full red, white and blue effect. Makes 6 individual jellies.
