Summary

The Loxahatchee River Management Coordinating Council (Council) requested that the District provide information on applications within the Loxahatchee River Watershed.

The District developed a Geographic Information System (GIS)- based email notification process to alert staff and the Council.

Email and the SFWMD ePermitting website are used to deliver information to the Council in a timely fashion.

How it works

All permit applications to the SFWMD are mapped into the GIS system within a few days of receipt.

If an application falls within the Watershed, an email is sent to staff and Council members with basic application information and map showing the project location.

All documents related to the application are scanned and posted to our ePermitting site: www.sfwmd.gov/ePermitting.

Click on the “hyperlink” in the email to go directly to the site.
