Aims: . to determine the prevalence of Chronic Low Back Pain (CLBP) and Fibromyalgia (FM) in Portugal . to compare function, health status, health care consumptions and early retirement between chronic low back pain Chronic LBP and FM in Portuguese patients.

Case definition:
CLBP - having LBP in majority of time in at least 7
weeks
FM - previous FM diagnosis or fulfillment of 2010 ACR
diagnostic criteria (according to EpiReumaPt protocol)
Inclusion criteria: Participants with available information on LBP (Y/N) and
FM symptoms self-reported questionnaire
Exclusion criteria: Patients diagnosed with previous Spa and concomitant
CLBP and FM (self-reported)

Health Consumption
. Portuguese self-reported prevalence of FM and CLBP is similar to other
European countries.
. FM patients have more burden with lower function and health status and more
health consumption when compared to CLBP patients.
. In Portugal, one in 10 patients with fibromyalgia are early retired due to RD.
