ABSOLUTIONABSOLUTIONABSOLUTIONABSOLUTIONABSOLUTION

Wave crashing into shore’s embraceEroding everything in its path

Nothing left in wave’s wakeAll returned to ocean’s wisdom.

Time has no meaning, no depthWave’s touch complete and final

What is undone impossible to undoKnowing, one can never unknow.

Taken apart stone by stoneTurned into sand, blown into dust

Washed back, washed throughDiluted, dissolved in absolution.

Returned, renewed, refreshedReborn in the purity of Light

Cleansed of the fantasy of separationAwash with the breath of God.

ALONEALONEALONEALONEALONE

We do not know how alone we areEven when we are painfully aware

Of our stuck places and aching heartsAnd our deep need for release.

We seem to know, seem to understandThat something important is amiss

Something, that if foundWould shatter this life experience irrevocably.

Perhaps that is why we dallyIs that the reason we continue to play the game

This that we know, although lacking true lifeIs far better than this unknown that seeks us.

By grace, in spite of theapparent suicidemission,We seek and search, cry and wail, all alongAlarmed and concerned that our searching

Will avail us naught, leaving us forever unanswered?

If we knew how alone we wereWhen we are wrapped in mind’s confines

We would embrace God with such passionThat all questions would be washed effortlessly away.

Page 15: Love Letters to God, Vol III

15

But, we do not know how alone we areNor can we, until we drop our boundary-laden wallsAnd the surge of welcoming light greets us with awe

Joyfully stipping away separation’s hold.

Then, only then, immersed in OnenessIs thedepth ofour previous aloneness seen

A true knowing and compassionate awarenessRendering heart irreversibly exposed, open in Love.

ALL GODALL GODALL GODALL GODALL GOD

Consider for just a moment that itis all GOD.

That nothing besides God exists. That the stranger we walk by

is GOD.That the person we despise

is GOD.That our enemy

is GOD.That the poor, the imprisoned, the ill

and those different than usare GOD.

That the creek, the trees and the birdsare God.

That the smallest blade of grass, too is God.

Can you love that much?
