Where You go, I’ll go Over the past two years I have been following the beat of God's heart for the poor to multiple countries: Haiti, Burkina Faso, the Philippines, the Bronx. What began as a staccato series of seemingly random trips has turned into an accelerating rhythm of His heart in mine; I am compelled to go where He leads me. So the next place I feel called to step is Mozambique, along the eastern coast of Africa.

Loving Orphans in Pemba “Learn to do good; Seek justice, Reprove the ruthless, Defend the orphan, Plead for the widow.” Isaiah 1:17. Most of my time in Mozambique will be spent in the company of orphans who have been given a home by Iris Ministries, as well as a new identity by their Heavenly Father. They are not sent away, but instead are loved back to life, and I will get to be a small part of that process.

What will I be doing, in short?

- ministering to children

- getting my hands dirty scrubbing big cooking pots

- leading worship and worshipping while I work

- praying for adults & children in need

- possibly going on outreach to villages in the bush

- washing feet and serving in any and all possible ways

Iris Ministries will be my home away from home for two weeks, where I will stay with other missionaries from around the world in a missions base that is also home to children who have been taken in to the Iris family. Bucket baths, mosquito nets, and lots of red dirt are all included free of charge!
