You can shed tears that he is gone,or you can smile because he has lived.

You can close your eyes and pray that he’ll come back,or, you can open your eyes and see all he’s left.

Your heart can be empty because you can’t see him,or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember him and only that he’s gone,or you can cherish his memory and let it live on.

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back,or you can do what he’d want:

Smile,Open your eyes,

LoveAnd go on

Love, Grandmother

AcknowledgementThis journey could not have been possible without the invaluable kindness and generosity of special friend, Cassie Bosslet; cousin,

Life ReflectionsLyncha Adolphus Johnson, IV was the younger of two children, born to Delores Brown and Lyncha A. Johnson, III, on September 2, 1978. “L.A.,” as he liked to be called, graduated from Ladue Horton Watkins High School in 1995. He went on to further his education at Tuskegee University.

He accepted Christ and served God in his own way. L.A. was an amazing man who was very hard working. He began his employment career at the early age of 13 when he convinced the manager that he was 15. L.A. always went above and beyond to help anyone who needed it. God blessed L.A. with a wonderful gift of serving others and a spirit of genuine caring.

His most recent career venues included Vin Deset Restaurant, Panorama at the St. Louis Art Museum and 1860 Saloon, Game Room and Hard-shell Cafe. L.A. was a visionary with excellent culinary and administrative skills that were invaluable to his employers.

L.A. enjoyed spending time with his children, family, and friends. His daughter Mackenzie was his little princess and he adored doting on her every moment. He also enjoyed a great relationship with and was very proud of the accomplishments of his son Lyncha. L.A. leaves a legacy of enduring kindness, generosity, and humility.

L.A. was preceded in death by his mother, Delores Brown. He leaves to cherish his memory, father, Lyncha A. Johnson, III; sister, Lisa Thomas (Riley); brother, Eric D. Richards (Megan); son, Lyncha Adolphus Johnson, V; daughter, Mackenzie Marie Johnson; grandmother, Dorothy B. Winfrey; aunts, Juanita Carter (Arthur) and Kimberly Reynolds; uncle, Marshall Brown, Jr.; three nieces; three nephews; and a host of cousins and friends.
