I was born on 23 June 1983 and grew up in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. I currently reside in Centurion, Gauteng. I started racing in regional and national races at the age of 15, and 10 years later I am still enjoying my racing career. In my opinion, racing has brought out in the best in me and taught me determination and independence in my everyday life. My amazing family and friends have always supported and helped me to achieve the goals I've reached. It is important for me to be a role model to the young, up-and-coming riders, and I help out with training whenever I can. I am a Christian and believe that this has kept me humble and focused in everything I attempt in life. I am healthy and enjoy deep sea fishing and mountain biking in my spare time.
