What is the trans arency in e ucation online?

    Two reflexions:

` when we make our learning process transparent, we become

    teachers

` Transparency in expressing our understanding, our frustrations and our

insights helps others who are at a similar stage.

    The trans arency versus rivacy

` The ublication of some online information in the rofiles of the stu ents

    The catalogues of stu ents

` A catalogue that su lies etaile information about each stu ent is basic,

so that stu ents have a general sight on the learning community.

` The stu ents catalogues must contain information about stu ents in an

    online course.

` If the e ucation institution allows the access of stu ents to the stu ents

catalogue of other courses, the learning community may become bigger.

` The catalogues of stu ents must contain rivacy o tions.

The im ortance of the trans arency

    in online e ucation

` The trans arency in online e ucation is im ortant for the coo erativelearning because stu ents only coo erate if they to know something aboutthe others.

    ` W

ith trans arency stu ents an rofessors become visible before networkelements, where the learning rocess is being evelo e .

` The great ur ose of the trans arency is allowing stu ents to share theirwork in each one of the hases an not only the final result.

` Professors an the remaining colleagues of the learning community followthis work an learn with it.

` The trans arency in online e ucation romotes the coo eration betweenthe stu ents

    The coo erative learning

` The coo erative learning is ifferent from in ivi ual learning an from

    collaborative learning.

` The coo erative learning stimulates in ivi ual flexibility an romotes the

affinity to a learning community, growing u in virtual learningenvironments.

` The stu ents must be stimulate to contribute for the virtual learning

communities, so they have more benefits.

The trans arency an the coo erative

    learning

` In the works evelo e in social networks, stu ents begin from thein ivi ual which is the o osite to the ebate forums where share

    ebates lines exists.

` In the social networks, in ivi uals for each work that they ivulge have

associate their rofiles or ersonal age, that can be evelo e ormo ifie .

` Their frien s can see an follow their activities, comment the same ones,so actions in a social lace are trans arent.

` Therefore, we start from the stu ent, from his own work an his ersonalage, which is share in a social networks, constituting a re resentation of

the in ivi ual in the Web.

The trans arency an the coo erative

    learning

` The socialization between the in ivi uals a ears when the ersonal age

connects with other ersonal ages of in ivi uals.

` In ivi uals construct their own ersonal relations networks, for exam le

through the subscri tion of iverse blogs.

` The trans arency is articularly im ortant in the coo erative learning,

allowing stu ents to follow the work of their colleagues.

` The stu ents must be stimulate to become visible in the networks, the

information they e it constitutes a resource for their colleagues.

    Conclusion

The great challenge is to fin a break-even oint between the trans arency in

online e ucation, that increases the coo eration between the stu ents, an

the rivacy of the elements that com ose the learning community.

The stu ent to must eci e which information must be ublishe abouthimself, being able to efine ifferent rofiles for ifferent visitors.

Finally, in a learning community where trans arency an coo eration

between its elements are resent, the stu ents lay the role of rofessors

when they ublish their works for hases an not only the final result.
