1. Intranet POC Activity

1.1 Planned POC Migration ActivitiesFollowing approaches to be tried out during the POC and the better solution would be recommended by HCL to AIB:

For Intranet migration to SP 2013

1. Using Migration Tool – Quest(Notes Migrator For SharePoint 2013) Installation of Notes Migrator for SharePoint clients. Installation of Notes Migrator for SharePoint Services.

1.2 Actual POC Migration Activities

1.2.1 Pre-Migration Assessment

1. Discover Notes Databases across all servers in all locations2. Classify Applications according to Technical or Business attributes3. Analyze Application Usage to identify unused applications4. Analyze Design Complexity and deviations from standard templates5. Analyze Data Complexity and identify content migration needs

1.2.2 Migration Target Planning

1. Extract Quick Place and Domino.Doc site hierarchies2. Assign target SharePoint sites, lists and libraries (Use rules-based engine and/or override

manually)3. Assign content migration jobs (Use rules-based engine and/or override manually)4. Preview your migration plan in the context of your existing SharePoint infrastructure5. Centrally manage migration plan, job execution, and results

1.2.3 Installation of NMSP Clients 6.3

Below are the steps for installing NMSP Client 6.3

Click on the installation of Notes Migrator for SharePoint clients Setup file from the respective file location

Step 1: Select NotesMigratorForSharePoint-Clients-6.3.0.1140 and click Run.

Step 2: Accept the License agreement in the next and as follows for the next screen

Step 3: NMSP Installation will get finished by pressing Finish Button

Step 4: Select NMSP Designer then following screen is appeared

Step 5: Go to Options in the above screen and follow the configuration as follows

Step 6: Go to Notes Tab and fill the Notes.INI path in the Override Default Notes.INI file Column

Step 7: Go to SharePoint Tab and add the SharePoint site Collections and test the Connections Press OK

Step 8: Go to SQL Server Tab and add select windows authentication

Step 8: Go to SQL Server TabSetting Tab give DB Server Name and DB Name and test connections

Step 9: Select Notes Migrator for SharePoint Press OK and then close here the configuration for NMSP client is completed

1.2.4 Installation of NMSP Services 6.3

Step 1: Select NotesMigratorForSharePoint-Services-6.3.0.1140 and Run as follows

Step 2: Accept license and click next then the following screen will appear click next Installation will happen

Step 3: Click Finish to complete the NMSP Services

Step 4: go to SP Central administration General Application setting and Configure the NotesMigratorForSharePoint-Services-6.3.0.1140 as follows

Step 5: Select the site collection you need and Select Enable Link Tracking Service check box. Mention Database server name and Database name, Windows authentication and test link tracking database setting

Step 6: Click save for the completion of NMSP Services configuration.

1.3 Observation while installing Quest (NMSP 6.3) tool Activating the Link Redirector: The Link Redirector feature needs to be activated in the Site

collection features. Enable Link Tracking Services. Use database connection security items as default, most should be in windows authentication

mode. While configuring NMSP Client in SharePoint tab the SharePoint environment should be classic

authentication.

2. Lotus Notes, Quick Place and AliMail Forms POC Activity

2.1 Planned POC Migration ActivitiesUsing Quest Tool migrate the Lotus Notes Databases to SharePoint 2013

2.2 Actual POC Activities

2.2.1 Lotus Notes Client Configuration

To Configure Lotus notes client click on the Lotus notes icon.

Click on the Next button and give the user name and server details.

Click on the Next button and select the user Notes ID file ie user.ini file

Click on the Next and select the Lotus Notes password then you will enter into Lotus Notes environment.

2.2.2 Installing NotesMigratorForSharePoint-Clients-6.3.0.1140

Step 1: Select NotesMigratorForSharePoint-Clients-6.3.0.1140 and Install as follows

2.3 Observation while installing Quest (NMSP 6.3) tool Activating the Link Redirector: The Link Redirector feature needs to be activated in the Site

2.4 Using Quest Notes Migrator migrating the Notes Data Bases to SharePoint1.) Select the Source server and DB.

2.) Select the SharePoint Site collection URL with List Name.

3.) Manually add / Map the fields from source.

4.) Advanced Tab.

Click on the new job

5.) Started Migration Job.

2.5 Migrated Quick Place Database in POC server using Quest tool to SharePoint custom List

Step 1: Open Notes Migrator for SharePoint (NMSP)

Step 2: SelectServer Name of the DBOK

Step 3 : CreateDefinitionDefinition Name

Step 4: Document SelectionSelect Standard Types.

The Content page and link pages will be migrated to the Custom Lists, tasks of that place will be moved to the tasks list, calendar of that place will be migrated to the calendar list and all the members will be migrated to the contact list in SharePoint 2013

Step 5: Preview Data QueryTestOK.

Step 6: SharePointSelect URLOK.

Step 7: Enter the List NameCheck the Box Create List DefinitionNameDescriptionList TypeTemplate.

Step 8: Data FieldsClick Load from Source FieldsOK.

Step 9: Map DataAuto MapRun Job.

Step 10: After Run Job Task in Progress

Step 11: Task Completed Screen AppearsClick on Go to List

Step 12: Here is The List which is migrated to SharePoint

Alimail Form Challenges

1. More time consumption to search the existing forms in current system. With the single name there are multiple forms in different folders.

2. Understand the existing business logic and code for the forms which are currently in Mainframe.

Clarifications

1. Which are the forms that have workflows? If exists, what is the Business Logic of those workflows.

2. Is there any data that needs to be bought from AD or from any other sources and populate in the forms? If yes, what are the details?

3. The provided form names are partial. Please provide complete names of all 526 forms in order to search from the existing system.
