XML Benefits
XML tools to transfer XML data to application data is widely available, and some browsers provide free data transformation tools (No need to buy expensive EDI Translators)
XML is human readable and easier to troubleshoot
XML (Schemas) Implementation Guide is easier to use (and easier to develop) than EDI Implementation Guide
XML Stylesheet Language Transformations (XSLT) is portable (EDI maps is not)

XML is a Viable Long Term Alternative
Replace NDM with tML Transport Gateway
Qwest will provide XML loss/completion reports
Use SDG web dial-up to retrieve XML reports
Develop tML Transport Gateway or leverage tML Transport Gateway for other tML applications
tML Transport Gateway will automatically send loss/completion reports on a daily basis
