XML Benefits

XML tools to transfer XML data to application data is widely available, and some browsers provide free data transformation tools (No need to buy expensive EDI Translators)

XML is human readable and easier to troubleshoot

XML (Schemas) Implementation Guide is easier to use (and easier to develop) than EDI Implementation Guide

XML Stylesheet Language Transformations (XSLT) is portable (EDI maps is not)

XML is a Viable Long Term Alternative

Replace NDM with tML Transport Gateway

Qwest will provide XML loss/completion reports

Use SDG web dial-up to retrieve XML reports

Develop tML Transport Gateway or leverage tML Transport Gateway for other tML applications

tML Transport Gateway will automatically send loss/completion reports on a daily basis
