New Water Main On Southside Ready for Test The new water main recent- ly installed to increase pressure on the southside of the village was chlorinated and prepared for pressure testing, it was re- ported today. Morrell Vroman, village en- gineers are supervising the work. The new main will be tested for 180 pounds pressure. Benny Lombardi of Highland, contractors for the water main project attended the village board meeting earlier this week for a discussion of the pressure test and the work of blacktop- ping the streets torn up for the Park Commissioner Jesse Van Gaasbeek was authorized to pur- chase 250 feet of roping for the municipal beach not to exceed $225. The roping will have plas- tic floats and will extend 200 feet out from the beach.
