Cold and wind got you down? Miss the warmth and scents of spring and summer? Join us for an exploration of essential oils that will drive the winter blues away. In this hands-on workshop we will share the healing and rejuvenating powers of essential oils for physical, emotional, mental and spiritual wellbeing in any season. Learn about the proper uses of a range of essential oils and make your own aromatherapy lotions and sprays. Learn about essential oil safety and how to put together a basic essential oil kit for yourself and to share with friends and family. This class includes a light lunch and refreshments.
About our Instructors:
Connie Henry PhD, ND, CPH, CHF, RN is a Certified Integrative Aromatherapist, a Certified Professional Herbalist as well as a mental health and substance abuse nurse. She has her B.Sc. in Clinical Nutrition and holds her Doctorate in Integrative Health Science and Naturopathy and has earned Diplomat status with the National Board of Naturopathic Medical Examiners. She offers classes that include Herbal Nutrition, Clinical Professional Essential Oils, and Intuitive Touch Healing. Believing that all of nature is energy and that we are not separate but closely interconnected, she looks to her natural world as a healing mirror.
She honors and is a proud follower of the “Herbal Life”, a way of life that embraces the natural world and reminds us that change is inevitable, gives us hope, allows us to restore and then to re-emerge with new energy.
Florian Birkmayer MD is a holistic, person-centered psychiatrist in Albuquerque NM who has been focusing on aromatherapy, equine assisted therapy and Jungian psychology to facilitate self-transformation. He received his B.A. from Princeton University and his M.D. from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University. He completed his psychiatry residency at the University of New Mexico.
