We’ve now received the Governor’s final decisions, many of which we are happy to celebrate and others which remind us that our work is far from over. Check out our BILLBoard on Page 2 for details on our bills that have now been signed into law. My District Team and I have stayed very busy in the community. We hosted Office Hours in City Heights and were able to connect with nearly a hundred constituents. We celebrated the overlapping Hispanic Heritage and Filipino American History Months with our annual Latino & Filipino Community Leader Awards. See Page 2 for photos that highlight a great night complete with cultural performances, food and, of course, a special awards ceremony. We also joined one of the South Bay’s most treasured traditions that’s making a big return, National City’s Maytime Band Review. A photo from the parade and other recent community events that we’ve participated in can be found on Page 3. As the holidays near, more of our annual district events are right around the corner, including Operation Gobble, our Thanksgiving turkey and fresh produce giveaway, and our AD80 Holiday Gathering and Diaper Drive. See the back page for details. We hope to see you there! It’s an honor to serve and represent you. Please contact our office, should you need any assistance. Sincerely, LORENA GONZALEZ Assemblywoman, 80th District
