Belinda Davies, Raelene Tant, Donna Germon, Kate

Holt, Jessica Holt, Kimberly Higgins, Kath Lane.

Semester 1 Reports We have changed the format in an effort to provide a

better snapshot of your child’s progress. If the teacher

feels an interview with parents is needed they will

indicate with a “red dot” on the report. Don’t panic,

this just means some discussion between parents and

teachers may help support your child.

If you have some “red dots” you can ring the office

on 6374 1622 to arrange an interview with your child’s

class teacher in the near future.

An interview at a mutually convenient time can be

requested by parents anytime during the year.

Paparazzi Team & Ten Dollar Circus News

We received a very nice letter from a recent visitor to

Gulgong:

“Dear Alan

Just a note to say thank you to you and the other stall

holders at the Markets (in Coronation Park) yesterday.

Particularly, I would like to say how impressed I am

with the photos the children are taking. I will enjoy the

two I bought with happy memories of Gulgong. They

are fortunate children to have guidance in

photography at such an early age.

Sincerely

MP”

Congratulations to Paparazzi and Ten Dollar Circus

students for work at the Mudgee Small Farm Field

Days. We were very busy for two days with fine

weather bringing lots of visiting children having a go

at circus, craft, speed stacking and face painting.

Special mention must be made of the small number of

students who worked in the TDC pavilion over the

Field Days weekend. Great work was done in art &

craft, speed stacking and helping visitors with circus

skills in many ways. Thank you to Emma, Archie,

Teagan, Allanah & Joshua, Mark, Victoria, Sigrid and

Hannah, Olivia, Arabella , Jasmine, Maddi, Breanna,

Honesty

What is Honesty?

Being honest is being open, trustworthy and truthful.

When people are honest, they can be relied on not to

lie, cheat, or steal. Honesty is telling the truth. It is

admitting mistakes even when you know someone

might be angry or disappointed. Being honest means

that you don’t pretend to be something you are not.

With honesty, you can trust things to be as they appear.

Why Practice It?

Honesty is important because it builds trust. When

people lie, or cover up mistakes, others can’t trust

them. When people aren’t honest with themselves,

they pretend that something doesn’t matter when it

does or they exaggerate to impress others. When you

are honest with yourself, you accept yourself as you

are. When you are honest, others can believe you.

How Do You Practice It?

When you are honest, you don’t try to fool yourself or

others. You say what you mean and mean what you

say. You only make promises you can keep. Be

trustworthy in all your dealings, refusing to lie or

cheat. Admit your mistakes and fix them. Be honest

with yourself and you will be honest with others. You

don’t need to make things up to look good—you’re

already good—honest.

Affirmation

“I am honest. I can be trusted to keep my word. I

admit my mistakes. I tell the truth, kindly and tactfully.

I have no need to impress others. I accept myself as I

am.”
