From these new articles I have learnt that Lorde wants to be seen as an artist who is all about the music and the performance she gives for her fans. She claims to be fully against lip syncing as it takes away from the feel of her music and is seen as ‘cheating’ her fans of their money. In addition to this she still wants to be seen as pure and apologised to her fans for her wardrobe malfunction when out with her friend on a night out. This shows that she wants to appeal to people and give herself a good name considering she is so young and many teen starts knower days tend to give themselves a bad name within the press.

From looking at the artist Lorde I have learnt that although her music is seen as a subgenre of pop she still wasn’t to maintain a good name for herself for her fans as many teen pop starts end up getting a bad name for themselves within the media. She is able to do this by giving her fans a full experience of her music by being against lip-syncing and apologising to her fans if she is seen in a

negative light in the media. She also makes sure her merchandise links to her albums and her look so that they are able to fully appreciate what she is like as an artist.
