Lorch showcasing innovative automation technology, a new welding machine for longitudinal and round seams and optimised inverter technology at the 2015 Schweisstec The presentation of Lorch Schweißtechnik GmbH at the 2015 Schweisstec fair in Stuttgart focuses on automation, a new welding machine for longitudinal and round seams and an overview of the latest generation of Micor inverter technology products and their intuitive operating concepts. Promoting their products with their new corporate claim Welding solutions for the world´s smartest companies, Lorch demonstrates how welders can give their welding performance another significant boost by applying innovative techniques and solutions.

The first product family the company is introducing as part of their new line of automation products is their range of highly versatile welding tractors, which allow the welder to produce the perfect weld seam while saving impressive amounts of energy and time at the same time. Whether they opt for a Lorch Trac Wheel, Trac Wheel Pro or TracRail / TracRail Pro model, welders will have a whole arsenal of accessories at their disposal that allows them to produce the perfect longitudinal or curved seam. Typical applications for this technology are long support structures commonly found in the trailer or rail vehicle construction industry as well as in shipbuilding or during the construction of containers, e.g. of lorry, oil and water tanks. The visitors attending the fair are treated to an up-close and personal look of the technical possibilities these tractors have to offer and are given an opportunity to receive a personal consultation from our newly formed team of Lorch Automation Solutions (LAS) experts. Striking the perfect balance between manual manufacturing and investment-intensive robot solutions, our welding tractors are a great choice for

all mid-size companies in the industry as they give them the edge they need to stand out from the competition.

The fair also witnessed the launch of another Lorch innovation: the Roundseam Topslider, a new welding machine for longitudinal and round seams that makes it a breeze to weld and clamp pipes and containers of various lengths thanks to a sliding, pneumatic tailstock. Thanks to a host of available software options, the new Topslider offers an abundance of possible applications and allows the welder to weld even large-diameter workpieces without a problem thanks to its wide range of rotational speeds. Its clear-cut menu structure including clear text display ensures that operation is always quick and easy.

As a stellar achievement of their efforts in the field of inverter technology Lorch is showing off their new MicorMIG500, the latest member of their EN 1090-certified MicorMIG product family. When operating at duty cycles of 100% and 60%, the 500 ampere machine can generate up to 370 amperes and - an astounding - 430 amperes, respectively. Better still, this new high-performance model allows for the welding of aluminium wires with a thickness of up to 1.6 millimetres. The machines of this new generation now also offer additional welding programs in Synergic mode that afford the user even greater ease of use when setting up the machine and performing CO2 inert gas welding operations with flux-cores wires that can be up to 1.6 mm thick.

Our Lorch team is eager to show visitors how this cutting-edge welding technology cuts down energy consumption to a remarkable extent - a hot-button issue given the constant rise in energy costs.

Lorch Schweißtechnik GmbH has set up their display in hall 6 at booth 6405. Schweisstec 2015 will be held at the trade fair grounds in Stuttgart from November 3 to November 6.

Lorch Schweißtechnik GmbH is one of the leading manufacturers of arc welding equipment for use in metal crafting and industrial applications and of semi-automated solutions as well as automation
