One night thePharaoh walkedin.Nubi’s mouthdropped wideopen.

The Pharaoh said he was getting married to a lovely lady named Tanafriti.

The Pharaoh needed 500 pairs of papyrus for the celebration.The Pharaoh said if Nubi made 500 pairs of sandals, he could come.

Nubi got right to work.He made 50 pairs of sandals, then he ran out of papyrus.

That night,Nubi wished that someone or something would help him make his sandals. Then something magical happened. The ancient Egyptian god Isis came to the sandal store and dropped off mummies.

Isis dropped off 3 mummies.

One mummymade 134 sandals.Another made123.

The last one made43 sandals.

Nubi was delighted when he saw 300 papyrus sandalsDownstairs.

That day,Nubiwent to townand bought some papyrus.

Nubi got right to work.He made 100 pairs of papyrus sandals.

Then the pharaoh walked in and said he needed therest of the sandals by tommorow.The pharaoh tookthe 400 sandals and left.Nubi wished and wishedand wished and wished that whatever helped him before would help him again.
