This street is called Re ent Street (after

George IV whose father, George III was

unable to reign (1811-1820) due to mental

disorders.

The street which is famous for its gentle

curve was designed by John Nash, anotherfamous London architect besides Inigo Jones

Sir Christopher Wren.

Tradional Pac ed lunch A Delicious Jac et Potato:

It is eaten for lunch by English pupils you will be able to taste this

when they dont want / cant eat at thecafeteria on Wednesday for lunch.

Traditional cooked breakfast (served on Sundays). You wont get one in the

morning in your host family. But if you want to taste these delicious things on a plate,

you will be able to order one on Wednesday morning when we are on the ferry. Lets meet athecafeteria for that! If it is a little too expensive, why not buy one for two and share!

If you do buy one of these, dont forget to take pictures of it!

One of them is called The Routemaster. What is it special for

Dont forget to bring 5 pounds to buy the 2 Tube-cards : one for Wednesday and one for

the next day!

These 2 photos have something in common: they picture something the French are not

proud of (fiers de): they prefer remembering Austerlitz of course. But the British do not!

This square still celebrates a British victory over Napoleon; and we will drive by a station

that celebrates another French Defeat on Wednesday morning. Do you know the name of it

It was famous until (jusqu) a few years ago, because of its architecture first and also

because all Eurostar trains terminated there. Now, they dont anymore: they terminate @ S

Pancras Station.

The 20p looks like the 50p coin but it is smaller.

The 10p piece is perfectly round.
