(B,D)Mar 7, 2016: BayeuxVisit mysterious, prehistoric Stonehenge before continuing to the seaside town of Portsmouth, where you board the ferry to France, porterage included. After dinner aboard the ferry, drive to Bayeux for a night’s rest. (B,D)Mar 8, 2016: BayeuxThis morning delve into Normandy’s history beginning at Arromanches, including entrance to the 360 Degree Cinema, where you will learn about Operation Overlord and how it was a turning point in WWII. Continue to Colleville-sur-Mer to pay tribute at the American Cemetery and Museum and picture the chaos of June 6, 1944 at the shell-scarred cliffs of Pointe du Hoc. INC Arromanches 360. Return to Bayeux for dinner. In the evening perhaps explore the Latin Quarter or mingle with artists in the bohemian Montmartre neighborhood. (B,D)Mar 11, 2016: ParisThis morning visit the Musee des Invalides.
