London Marathon 2015: Paula Radcliffe Tuesday 28 April, 2015 Octagon managed athlete Paula Radcliffe MBE , enjoyed a tremendous send off from some 750,000 + spectators and a TV audience of millions at the 2015 London Marathon. Having set a world record at the event 2hours 15 minutes 25 seconds 12 years ago, this race was not about records but enjoying the event as a competitor for the last time. Finishing in a very respectable time of 2hours 36m 55secs Paula used the event to say a huge thanks you to the fans who have supported her over a great career . After receiving a Life Time Achievement Award from Prince Harry Paula said, “"It was just amazing the whole way round. I wore the sunglasses to keep a lid on my emotions and they definitely hid some tears along the way. I came into this race unprepared and hoped the magic of the London Marathon would help me and I'm sure it did. Down the last mile I thought 'I don't care about the time', I just wanted to thank as many people as I could.” Octagon have been privileged to work with Paula and her husband Gary throughout her Marathon career , during which time Paula’s professionalism and personality have enabled her to add value to a wide range of quality commercial partners .
