Regulated Price Plan Time-of-Use Rates -Effective November 1, 2013

As of November 1, 2013, London Hydro customers are charged Regulated Price Plan (RPP) WINTER Time-of-Use (ToU) rates. Under the ToU RPP, the Ontario Energy Board sets three prices for your electricityconsumption. These prices are subject to change every six months, in May and November of each year. Therates you pay for electricity are based on the time of day that you use it.

Your sma rt me ter records how much electricity you use and when you use it. Time-of-Use rates are brokendown into three distinct categorie s, each having specific times of the day:

    1. On Peak - 12.9 cents per kWh - When demand for electricity is highest (Weekdays: 7 AM to 11 AM

and 5 PM to 7 PM)2. Mid Peak - 10.9 cents per kWh - When demand for electricity is moderate (Weekdays: 11 AM to 5

PM)3. Off-Peak - 7.2 cents per kWh - When demand for electricity is lowest (Weekdays: 7 PM to 7 AM,

Weekends and Holidays - 24 HOURS)

Time-of-Use pricing rewards you for using electricity during low-demand periods whenever possible. The lowestrates are at night, on weekends and statutory holidays.

    Electricity and Water Rates

Did you know that London Hydro does not generate or set the price for electricity? The electricity we supply toyou is purchased from the electricity spot market and the cost of this power is passed on to you without mark up. In fact, most of the charges on your bill are not London Hydro charges, but are passed on (without mark up)from various organizations that run Ontario's electricity power line system. London Hydro only operates on lessthan 22% of the charges on your bill to distribute a safe and reliable supply of electricity to you. We are proud to

be recognized as having one of the most efficient power line systems in the Province.

*the monthly bill sample for 207 kWh includes a Loss Adjustment Factor. In calculating your bill, your consumption amount will be adjusted to account for heat loss. When electricity is delivered over a power line,it is normal for a small amount of power to be consumed or lost as heat. Equipment such as wires andtransformers consume power before it gets to your home or business. The adjustment factor accounts for these losses.

Loss Adjustment Factor Calculation ex. 200 kWh x 1.0350Adjustment Factor = 207 kWhs

Monthly Administration charge applies to non-retailer affiliated customers only.

    *Adjustment Factor Charge Calculation:1.75 kWh x $0.129 + 1.75 kWh x $0.109 + 3.50 kWh x$0.072 = $0.67

    Residential Water Rates

The City of London has made some changes to its storm water billing structure that are listed below:

there are no rate categories, everyone is billed under this rate structurein the new rate structure, there are no longer classifications for different types of customers and a newcapital renewal charge has been introduced

all residential, institutional, commercial and industrial customers will pay a fixed monthly charge based onthe size of their meter and a fixed volumetric charge based on the amount of water used each month

This blending of fixed and usage charges is intended to continue to promote conservation by giving peoplecontrol over their bills by reducing their monthly usage. Please visit the City of London's website for moreinformation on these latest changes.
