• Madame Tussauds• The most famous wax museum in the

world, created by Mrs. Tussaud`s. Madame Toussauds is a major tourist attraction in London, displaying waxworks of historical and royal figures, film star, sports stars and infamous murders.

• Real Observatorio de Greenwich• It was established in 1675 . with the aim of

finding terrestrial longitude lines to improve navigation. This observatory is where the meridian line that bears his name and which serves as a benchmark to set the time in the world.

LANDMARKS

• St. Paul’s Cathedral• Its dedication to Paul the Apostle dates

back to the original church on this site, founded in AD 604. St Paul's sits at the top of Ludgate Hill, the highest point in the City of London, and is the mother church of the Diocese of London. St Paul's is the second largest church building in the United Kingdom after Liverpool Cathedral.

• Buckingham Palace• It is the official London residence and principal

workplace of the British monarch. Located in the City of Westminster, the palace is a setting for state occasions and royal hospitality. It has been a focus for the British people at times of national rejoicing and crisis. Originally known as Buckingham House, the building which forms the core of today's palace was a large townhouse built for the Duke of Buckingham in 1705 on a site which had been in private ownership for at least 150 years.

OUTDOORS ACTIVITIES

• London Eye• Paris has got the Eiffel Tower, New York

has got the Empire State Building and London has got the London Eye. It is an enormous ferris wheel, it was built on the south bank of the River Thames. It has got 32 capsules for passangers. Marks and Barfield (architects) planned to open it on 31st December, 1999, to celebrate the new millennium.

• Oxford St.• Oxford Street is a major thoroughfare in

the City of Westminster in the West End of London, United Kingdom. It is Europe's busiest shopping street, and as of 2011 had approximately 300 shops. Today it forms part of the A40 trunk road, although like many roads in central London which are no longer through routes it is not signposted with the road number.
