For detecting potential-free switch states, for example electrical end position switches on vent valves or auxiliary contacts of power contactors.
For detecting potential-free switch states, for example electrical end position switches on ventilation dampers or auxiliary contacts of power contactors. Depending on how the jumper J has been set, the inputs can be operated as contact and voltage inputs (J-GND jumper) or with activation to GND (A2, J - + 24 jumper).
For detecting 230 VAC switch states, for example switches or buttons for light control. The input contacts 1L to 4L are wired to 230 VAC switches or con-tacts via the contacts 1N to 4N.
For switching electrical com-ponents, for example motors, contactors, lamps, blinds, etc. With strong inductive loads, we recom-mend protecting the relay contacts additionally with an RC element.

For switching electrical compo-nents, for example relays, contac-tors, HVAC valves, etc. Especially suited for noiseless and cyclic switching (PDM).
For detecting resistances and voltages of, for example, passive and active temperature sensors, electrical vent and mixing valves, valve positions, etc. The follow-ing temperature charateristics are stored in the module: PT100,PT500,PT1000,NI1000-TC5000,NI1000-TC6180,BAL-CO500,KTY81_110,KTY81_210,NTC1k8-T,NTC5k-T,NTC10k-T,NTC20k-T,LM235Z(-50°Cto130°C)
It can be used as encoder for control variables, for example for electrical vent and mixing valves, valve positions, etc. With the LF-AOP4, it is possible, via the front-side potientiometers, to switch between automatic and manual mode.
It is suitable for accommodat-ing, for example in a room, light switches and room contacts and switching two light strips or as blind control. The control of 2 motorized fire dampers is also possible as are many other applications.

It is suitable for querying, for example, switching states and, as a result, switching motors or other actuators.
It is suitable for controlling, for example, motorized vent valves and switching on alarm at the set threshold value. In a LON installation, the individual analog outputs are activated in percent bythenetworkvariablesSNVTand accordingly provide a voltage of between 0 and 10 Volts. In addition, the outputs can be set topresetvoltagevalues.Bothdigital outputs can be activated individually or as a function of an adjustable threshold value.
ForcountingS0counterpulses.The software contains the LONMARKprofile2201-10util-ity meter. This allows very good integration of the module into a LON energy controlling system. Themodulesavesupto500datarecords consisting of counter pulses and time stamps per chan-nel by means of a real-time clock (RTC). This makes it possible to use theLF-SI4alsoasdatalogger.Incase of a power failure, the data records remain saved. If desired, the 4 inputs can be wired to potential-free switches or contactsorS0counteroutputs.
For switching, for example, multi-stage pumps, fans, burners, blinds or the like. The digital inputs 1 to 6 are wired to potential-free switches or contacts on two poles via the contacts C2.

It is suitable for decentralized switching tasks, such as in the industrial and refrigeration sector.
For detecting temperatures or voltages or for switching 4 thermal valve drives with triacs.
Switch-onmoduleforbuscon-nection, supply voltage and adjustable bus termination. The switch-on module was developed as wiring help for supplying the supply voltage and a two-wire bus to the LON bus modules. A bus terminatingresistorof52.3Ohm(R/2) and for line topology 105Ohm(R)canbesetundertheremovable cover as jumper for free network topology.
The NG4 power supply supplies regulated direct voltages for sup-plying power to the respective devices of the product family of I/O components. The device sup-plies regulated direct voltage 24 V DC at a power of 16 watts.

I/O components equipped with the LON FT500 TransceiverFor automation in buildings, installations and systems
Safe and low-cost operation of infrastructures in large, but also in small, buildings nowadays requires that the most important operational functions such as system control, air-conditioning, ventilation and lighting are executed automati-cally. However, this also makes higher demands on the functions of the building installation, which can usually be met by conventional technology only with large expenditures. This is why building automation is increasingly using serial bus systems, which execute the transmission of information between sensors and actuators, switches and higher-ranking control systems.
Bus systems such as LON offer different benefits:• easier planning and installation of the building functions• high flexibility in use of the building, as the functions are freely programmable and can thus be reset and readjusted as required at any time.
Compact and intelligent I/O components for decentralized applicationsTheir compact design for the DIN rail (standard front dimension of 45 mm) and wide variety of types, also in the IP65 housing, make the LON I/O components from METZ CONNECT highly suitable to be used in decentralized applications. The modules can be used where they are really needed. This considerably reduces the wiring required compared with the central switch cabinet assembly. Moreover, the mixing ratio of the METZ CONNECT I/O components adapted to the particular application optimizes the number of unused inputs and outputs.
High functionality through special application softwareMETZ CONNECT provides additional application software for the individual devices, tailored to very specific applications. This allows the user to use proven functionality at low costs and save his own programming costs. The descriptions of the application software can be downloaded from the homepage of www.metz-connect.com/de/software-fur-module-mit-ft5000-chip.
Minimum wiring required and series connection of the I/O components by means of jumpers
The power supply and the bus connection are established and passed on on the topside or front side of the I/O components. Plugging in a jumper allows up to 15 I/O components to be connected easily and quickly to one another and arranged in a row.
easy and flexible system integration with FT5000 Smart TransceiverThe advantages of the new processor generation to the user are obvious: Thanks to a higher memory capacity and a larger number of network variables (254 SNVT), more room is available for application software. The increased clock rate of 40 MHz increases the overall performance, while the licensing fees (credits) for using the LON technology are eliminated altogether. Integration of the FT5000 LON devices into existing LON networks is possible. Existing LON systems can be combined with the FT5000 and thus also be expanded.
